Player Dejan Kulusevski

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Discussing whether Son or Kula should be rotated is crazy. The answer is both as soon as we start playing twice a week from next week. It is not just the physical condition but also mentally playing too often means many players go stale and their performance drops. If we are ever to compete on several fronts and win a trophy we need to rotate. That is what the summer spending was all about. It was hoped that whether Kula, Son or Richardson played that it should make little difference. Even Kane needs to be rested at times.

On another day could have ended up with 3 assists.

Yet we're absolutely gagging for a creative player, apparently.
I think we are shy of a number 10'ish AM. But I say this because other than Kane we don't possess one but I've no idea if Conte sees if we need one. Conversely, I get the links to Malinovskyi as Conte could change our shape with him to a 3-5-2, as when Conte has gone 3-5-2 in previous teams his playmaker is the deepest (Fabregas, Brozovic), I thought this perhaps would suit Bentancur's skill set but we haven't seen it yet (maybe he has no plans to go to 3-5-2 which is a shame IMO).

Two of our best performances last season came when playing 352.

I'm more surprised we haven't seen it but with Kulusevski central in front of Hojbjerg and Bentancur. I can only assume one of the real reasons we haven't fully gone 352 is because of the breakout performances of Kulusevski out wide and the fact we haven't really got two wing backs capable of causing problems in that set up.

Conte mostly played 343 at Chelsea. Fabregas only started about 13 games that season and was brought in on specialist occasions, mainly to control games against the lower teams when Chelsea perhaps didn't need two out and out defensive midfielders. Rarely started against the bigger and better clubs. Conte most definitely preferred solidarity in that Chelsea team. Kante and Matic were fantastic.

Its so weird that some folks on here can't see how good Kulu is as a RW. The cross he sent to Kane in the 2nd half that Kane put onto the bar was a world class ball. His pullback ground cross to the top of the box later on was really crafty too. The hate is baffling.
I don't think it's hate but it's feast or famine for some. Either he has a great game is world class or he's slow and shit. He's a very good player, still improving and will have good games and some not so good games. Much like every other player his age.

Great comment from Deki about Conte:

"I don't know! I can attack the goal more, for sure. Sometimes I'm just in a different world when I play," he [Kulusevski] admitted. "I feel so comfortable sometimes, so I just play and have fun, but he doesn't want me to have fun! He wants me to kill the opponent in a sporting way!"

Only three players have been involved in more goals than him since 1st January.

Kane, Son and de Bruyne.

He didn't start his first game for us until Feb.

Apparently being excited by this makes one a delusional fanboy.....

Honest, I have no idea why some people bother supporting a football team.... It clearly does nothing to brighten up their seemingly miserable lives.

Some of the reactions after Southampton were OTT. But then equally you can't be too critical after Wolves & Chelsea at all, they were games where our entire front 3 struggled to be influential over 90 minutes.

(And Kulu was our biggest threat in the 2nd half vs Wolves.)

Kulusevski isnt the club. He isnt even a permanent Spurs player. I personally think hes slower than my nan, cant beat a player 1 v 1, goes missing in games but does occasionally come up with a goal against weak opposition. And he sometimes has some decent moments as well.

But the way he is hailed as prime Messi in here is frankly odd. And also act like 22 is really young in this day and age. Based on the few moments Richarlison has had so far, he should start ahead of Kulusevski against nottingham. Super lively

the best game kulu had for us was when he was so direct everytime he got the ball. with his ability he can do that too, more often than not something will happen as he has the intellect and nous to deal with most situations thrown at him. hes a natural footballer so he can adapt and improvise to different scenarios, hes not a player that is limited to only being able to do what hes been taught in training.

I suggest whenever you have a thought, that before you make a statement, think about what the exact opposite of that thought is and go with that instead.

For example, you think things like “Kulusevski is a mediocre footballer.” But if you just say the opposite of what you’re thinking (Kulusevski is NOT a mediocre footballer), you’ll be right a lot more than you currently are, you’ll sound like you know what you are talking about, and many more people will actually value your opinion.

Nobody has made any comparison of Kulu to Messi in here- that's just crazy. Kulu is however BY FAR our best playmaker outside of Kane (who understandably has trouble making plays for himself). I'd argue that Kulu is already more important to our attack than Son is, such is our need for playmakers and not just clinical finishers.

Why aren't you more excited about Kulu? Do you think his assist and goal rates from last season through this one are somehow an accident?

Or maybe I can just have my opinion
