Martinelli has been unreal first few games though. Like genuinely to the point where it's slightly concerning that he might be fulfilling his potential. Hopefully just a run of form helped by the easy fixtures.
This board has some weird obsession with hating on every player that is pacey and a good dribbler.
Many fans overrate ASM, Traore, Zaha /etc, so now there’s a group of people that are overcompensating and act like these players are terrible.
The real answer is that these players are very useful in some situations and their flaws stick out if they aren’t in the right situation… but these players are certainly not as poor as many on here think.
Martinelli AND Zaha would be a good problem to have for Woolwich. It would certainly make sense for them to sign him TBH, not so much us.
