It's understandable though.

Teams will move on to potentially their second, third, fourth choices the later the transfer window rolls on and I can imagine it's just easier for Winks himself to stay in England as well as want to play in the Premier League over all else.

He'll move though, regardless. It'd just be nice if it was sooner rather than later.

The stats are there for you to see. Go and find me 10 players in the top 5 leagues who play creative midfield who have been involved in more goals than Malinovskyi has and would be available for as cheap as he would be for us.

And I’m telling you … for what hes done, his age, the demand, the fact he’s being sold and last year of contract in last week of transfer windows …. He’s overpriced

We clearly need it. Because we’re not penetrating at the moment.

To name but a few off the top of my head, Jesus, Tielemans, Bremner, Zinchenko, Kamara, Cucrella (granted, too much money), Neto, Ruben Neves

Yes, we'd all have loved Bastoni, and I think the overall consensus on Torres and Bremer was cautious rather than must haves. And if we are being priced out, then it's sensible to step back. Trust and actual process.

I get where you're coming from but it makes for pretty depressing reading. It's so easy to flip it the other way though.

Perisic = one of the best players in his position in the world, and brings a winning mentality, calmness and influence to the changing room that we've not had in years.

Lenglet = Was one of the best players in his position until a recent blip, you don't become a clogger overnight

Richy = a young, and proven Prem player who has shown a winning mentality and brings a level of shithousery we've missed. Most of the winning team possess this, we haven't for many years

Biss = Dragged his team through last season, is young and prem proven, one of the best performing players in the prem last season

Destiny = Huge prospect, already making the headlines. Looks super strong and well developed, exciting for next season

Another = I think we will sign another.

These and January with both Kulu and Bent both working out (rare), that's no small change to the squad over the last year. oh.. Plus Conte, the changes to the scouting Dept. and the set play coach.
