GOAT GOAT is Welsh.... How'd you find a gif of his girlfriend?
Harsh, mate.

Nothing to do with his welshness though. Just a follow on from BROCKVILLE BROCKVILLE 's brilliant put down earlier in the thread.

Anyway, the clowns now resorted to calling me a gooner🤮...and put me on ignore for the 1000th time.

Baaahhhh!!!! 🐑🐑🐑🐑

Edit:

Ha! Just realised he's spent the last hour fishing through my previous posts and randomly giving them a nice juicy kiss 💋

Window is definitely a solid 8.

Anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong

Edit: If Skywalker disagrees, it means he actually agrees.

We do not need a creative midfielder - Conte doesn't rely on one. And we are not interested in a fans ide of how to re-set up a team in place of Conte

Currently we do not have a back up for Kuluseski who scored 5 goals and got 8 assists in 19 appearances in 2nd half of last season.

So that's the question - who to bring in ?
True indeed and I’m far from a tactician. Is his set up to have 2 6’s or a 6 and an 8? My point was it seems paqueta could play as an 8 (even though the talk about him is as a “creative” CAM) and add a dimension the Bentancur does not while remaining nearly as stout defensively. There seem to be frequent links but it could all be BS.

He seems to be going for 2 players who are specifically strong in defence - he's happy for all of the 4 we have to go upfield (probably one at a time) where the opposition is not that strong - and I think all of the 4 we have can go upfield in different ways and make an impression in attack.

But I don't think we will see that too often n PL games - 'there are no easy PL games' - simply because playing 2 CM's its rare for them to have too much time to be creative. And why one wasn't bought as one of the first wave of purchases as a priority

So a creative CM would rely upon other easier games to get play time - or wait until Conte to change and play 3 CM;s but I don't think he has the squad to do that given he wants to play 3 CB's and will have 6 CB's in the squad.

If we ever do play 3 CM's this season, I think its more likely someone like Kulusevski will drop back - but only for a few matches.

But that's why it looks very unlikely we go for a creative CM

You make it look as if both Kane and Kulu are slowsters - but they are not. True, neither are speedsters either but neither "clearly lack pace" either. Compared to Adama Traoré most footballers would appear to "lack pace" anyway.
Kulu arrived with a "being slow" tag that has stuck to him among some fans (I wonder if they have seen him play) but he's shown time and again that he's able to beat defenders and match most of them for pace. Yes, he doesn't have a blistering pace but he's not easily beaten for pace either - and he's generally up against the fasters players in a team: the wing-/full-backs.
Kane has also shown that can run past defenders and that his pace hasn't let him down that much. And apart from Mbappe and Haaland, no top CF is exactly a speedster either.
Besides, Spurs will mainly be up against team that defend tight, so the speed of the brain is often more important.
Thus said, no, I would not have minded if both Kane and Kulu had been as fast as Adama but that's not gonna happen.
English fans are obsessed with pace, or "pierce" as Shearer pronounces it.

I don't understand why anyone's rating the window now.

It's not over

The new signings haven't seen much action yet

We're not going to know how to rate it till later in the season

Last January we had signed what looked like a couple of Juve rejects, in truth they were probably the catalyst to getting top 4. How would that window not be an 8/9 out of 10 for effectiveness? What would you have rated it at the time?

Let's see where we are come the point we're playing 2 games a week, then we'll see how good this squad are.

Not sure why any player would want to join Spurs at the moment. The ones that have are hardly getting a look-in for game time and poor old DJed not even on the bench

Yeah good point.

I would much rather see Spence, Bissouma, Forster and Richarlison start as well.

If we got 1 point from the first 3 games no issue as long as the new recruits are starting and as long as we can attract other players.
