Let me guess... this him?

That place has trigger happy mods as well so his worst stuff is mainly in deleted threads and “lost” forever. No clue how he lasted as long as he did…

Atletico can fuck off unless they agree to obligation to buy. I'm tired of these tight up Spanish and Italian clubs looking for free players for a season.

Atletico Madrid have joined the race to sign Sergio Reguilon in the last few hours, with Tuttomercatoweb reporting that they have offered to take the left-back on loan from Tottenham Hotspur.

Reguilon is attracting plenty of interest before the final days of the window. Of course, it would be no surprise to see the Spain international leave before the deadline.

The report adds that Atleti are ahead of Forest in the race. Reguilon would prefer to join Diego Simeone’s men. Meanwhile, Lazio are also admirers of the left-back.

Atletico would clearly be a fantastic move for Reguilon. It does appear that they may soon need another left-back, with speculation surrounding Renan Lodi’s future in the Spanish capital.

They can offer the ‘brilliant‘ defender Champions League football. And that could be particularly beneficial with the World Cup looming on the horizon.

He did spend 15 years on the books at Real Madrid. But it would appear that that is not putting off either Atletico or Reguilon, with both parties keen on doing a deal.

It will be very interesting to see if Atleti now manage to agree a loan deal for Reguilon at this late stage.
Atletico are in a similar state as barca, car crash financially stay clear.

He’s already playing in England for an inferior club.
It’s not the same as signing Bastoni or Gvardiol.

And Chelsea are going to pay more than double his value. Who else fits that profile?
You want us to pay 50M+ for Gordon. 30M+ for Zaha or just go out and get Traore?
With respect, your missing the point my friend.....while inadvertently consolidating mine

People keep trying to justify our failure to upgrade key positions with the nonsense statement but who's available blah blah blah .

Now. Saying there's no one available at a price we're willing to pay......or on a package we're willing to offer.that's an entirely different matter.

Would the "post-abram" Chelsea do business with Spurs? Ziyech would be a great addition, he can create and score goals

The only reason Chelsea would let us have a player is because they know he is shit. Hope we steer clear.

Good post bunburyist bunburyist

Good to see a bit of reason and common sense brought in to the debate.

The bit I'd question is the bit about good players being available. It's up to us to use our financial muscle and unprecedented FFP wriggle room to identify and get those players we need.

A good example is Fofana at Leicester. Unavailable! Not for sale! Said Brenda just a couple of weeks ago.

I'll bet you now he won't be a Leicester player when the transfer window closes!

Only thing I'd add is that Paratici has been adding a lot of recruitment guys over the last couple of months - and the only reason they would come is if he's intending to recruit/upgrade players for the next couple of years.

So whilst I'd certainly like one or two more good players to join in places we need, whether or not they come this summer it wouldn't surprise me if we saw one or two players being considered in the January winter (likely to be longer and earlier due to World Cup ? ) before another 4-6 players joining next summer.

Agree, more than one thing can be true at the same time of course.

We have had, hands down, the best transfer window pretty much in memory. Not only great players, but in positions we really need. Who knew it was so simple.

This window will get us to the top table. But if we want to establish ourselves as regulars at the top we need more. It might be novel for us, but City signing Haaland, Liverpool Nunez, and Chavs Sterling and Koulibaly is just normal business. I don’t want to be an outside contender I want us to be genuine challengers.

I’m just burned somewhat by the Poch era of so close yet so far. Can almost guarantee the coach we get after Conte won’t be an upgrade, so we need to strike whilst the iron is hot innit

If there was no intention to have a target good to go then Gil wouldn't be signing a contract for another club.

Bullshit for anyone to say we have no one lined up.
What contract has he signed? And with who? Last time I checked he was still our player.
Intention to sign a player and actually signing the player are two different things.
There are various reasons why we could fail to get a deal done, especially if we are dealing with Spanish and Italian clubs.
