did we qualify for the champions league or did we get relegated and i didnt know

Did we just get more points from our first four games than any team since Redknapps spurs first qualified for the CL?
Maybe we just don't need a star signing.
Stop and consider, we gave Woolwich a 3 month head start last season and still finished above them. Heck, we nearly caught Chelsea and probably would have with another 3 games each.

Might as well keep Gil than bring James in. He’s shit. An absolutely pointless signing.

Describes both players perfectly. At least one speaks something that resembles English and is HG for the PL.

Don’t understand the Dan James thing at all. He has pace, that’s it.

Adama has pace AND power so seems much more of a Conte guy. (No comment on his finishing or end product tho!)

Plus we'll gain some fans who have bodybuilding fetishes.

He is absolutely, 100% a better player than Daniel James. That's not a suggestion that we should actively pursue Adama, but if its a choice between the two (Like choosing whether to drink vomit or piss) then I'm taking the oily one.

If our options are Dan James or Adama Traore then it is a simple pick.
Just play Matt fucking Doherty as RW and you are way better off :D .

If we'd sign either of those, then it is most likely a panic buy and we will take a useless obligation for us.
Adama would not come on loan (last season of the contract) and James is just not good enough...

We got CL.
And brought in one of the best CMs outside of top 6.
Nicked Everton best player to be rotation option.
Signed world class wingback, CL winner and WC finalist + future-proofed position with Udogie
Added quality to CB with once very highly regarded Lenglet
Won the race to sign prospect and one of Championship best player for RWB
And upgraded on 2nd GK.

Lost 0 key players while adding these.

You are welcome for the reminder.
Transfer window did not start two weeks ago.

Though right now it seems that we are running out of options somehow...
But that will not undo all positive things that are completed...

Why, why WHY would we do this? Why not just keep Gil?? I just do not understand? There’s no logical explanation.

Surely no Spurs fans could possibly even attempt to justify this?

I can sort of grasp the logic. Gil has actual potential & we probably want him somewhere where he plays week in week out, either so we actually end up with a big fee or he plays for us in the future. James/Adama would just be stopgap squad options, we don't care about their development much.

But it's a shit squad option & if we're in a position where we rely on James then we're fucked. He wasn't good enough to be a squad player at United & he's not good enough to start for Leeds. This isn't improving our depth.

Seems utterly bizarre to me. Would be an absolute shocker.

Not saying James might not add some thing but why on all fronts?

I will be very disappointed if we don't sign a 6th attacking player.

As good as Kulusevski is and whatever option Richarlison or Moura offer, to not have one more especially to cover or provide an option would be complete madness.

I think the tweet mean Bentacur's head injury vs Nottingham Forest. If so, seems to be more serious than it looks.

We're back to barebone 2 senior CMs at the moment (Bissouma and PEH)

Maybe slight concussion, so out for Wednesday at least, which would be a blow.

It's why our model arguably needs 4/5 central midfielders and 6 attackers.

If worst came to the worst we can easily move to a 5 4 1, with Son and Kulusevski moving up a bit or arguably Kane for Son.

What we need is Skipp back and quickly and for us to stop looking at seemingly second rate attacking options.

Think we're veering towards turning, what could have been - could still be - a 9 window, into a 7.

Please don't spoil it by bringing in dross like James.

Fucking hell.
