I really don’t get the excitement about Carrasco. I’ve watched him throughout his career, starting at Monaco.

He’s not really a great wing back, certainly not at club level. He’s been used as a LWB more by Martinez I think because they have no FB’s.

AM he’s mostly played as a LW/LM ahead of a back 4.

He’s had some ok productive seasons in France and Spain, but nothing generally earth shattering and most of those numbers were clocked up as a wide attacker/inverted forward not a WB. He is also fucking erratic and unreliable too - and has been part of a malfunctioning AM team.

We have more or less what he offers in Richarlison and Peresic.

And he’s almost 29. Either spend the wheelbarrow cash on a better quality option but do t waste any more 30k’s on players who aren’t much of an upgrade and have no age upside potential.

Ah our old “loan with an obligation to buy” reverse trap! Seems to be a big thing in Italy but I really don’t think other countries it really works, too much to gain for the buyer and too little for the seller.

I’m with bus-conductor though, anything north of 30 million and I’d pass on him. He really isn’t all that.
Again, I’d rather we kept and tried to develop Gil.
