What a strange window by our standards. At this stage of a normal summer I’m usually checking this thread every 10 minutes or so, and getting no work done.
This year, I don’t think I’ve looked at this thread once for about three weeks - have I missed any important ITK?
It feels odd not seeing people tracking the THFC jet in Milan or wherever, or not hoping that DL is going to produce another Rafa VDV at the eleventh hour.

I'm happy with our window, Yes we didn't get the main CB target but that will have to wait. The squad has been strengthened in other areas and overall has more depth and balance than we have had in a while.
Still expect Gil's replacement to come in most likely Traore atm.

i mean meh really, suppose you could throw on that muscle bound beef steak for the last 20 minutes against Woolwich's lightweight kids and he would probably cause havoc for them and us.
But i'd be weary of wasting wages and a transfer fee on him, especially anything longer than a 24 month contract

Load of bollocks. Moura wants to go back to Brasil in a year or two. Why would he entertain being sold to a team in... Turkey next year???

My view is he would be more asset than liability..
And for 2 years it's a gamble that might just work.
To me, the only reason this isn't feeling like a 9/10 window is because we did our business so early that we kind of forget how awesome it was in June. Perisic, Bissouma and friendship world tour leader Richarlison are all fantastic additions in my view.
I'd like a few guys offloaded, but on the other hand it's not my money and if ENIC has to continue to pay some of these players it's their own fault. In years past though, if we only added those three and did it this week we'd be thrilled. Sure, we'd have had weeks of "c'mon Levy, open your fucking wallet" or "if we can get this thread to 1000 pages we can probably have a signing ", but I happier this way.
He has an injury anyway, tendon injury, not sure how serious, but Conte said just within the last 2 days he is not available and nursing an injury
How are we playing? Bar the Chelsea game, we're creating more quality chances than our opponents, we're giving up some really low probability chances, and when we're ahead we manage games quite comfortably. Just because the opposition has the ball more and looks like their dangerous doesn't mean they're outplaying us. Their best chances have a 5% probability of going in. Could we start games better? Sure. But it's not like we're in any serious danger of conceding during those spells either.

Players who have no place in our squad at all - finally gone.
People probably don't realise that ordinarily, we would have had to have sold those players, for healthy fees, before being able to make moves. All of our signings would have moved elsewhere by now and we'd be relying upon bargain basement deadline day signings yet again.
