VVD has cost Liverpool more points in 2022 than Dier has cost us. He's not a perfect player but working with a top coach and playing in a back three has eradicated a lot of those mistakes from his game.

Stats might show VVD had made more errors leading directly to a goal, but VVD account is a lot more in the black than Dier’s is overall, due to all the positive things he contributes on a minute by minute, game by game basis.

Still desperately need creativity in mf...

Vs Forest - 18 shots - 7 on target. Quite a few moves that broke down at the last move.
Vs Wolves - 11 shots - 4 on target - 2 off the post
Vs Chelsea - 10 shots - 5 on target (more on target than Chelsea) and a few wasted opportities
Vs Southampton - 18 shots - 8 on target. Could have scored double the 4 we got in the end.

We aren't struggling to create.

Want comparisons?
Liverpool had 1 more shot in their 9-0 win against Bournemouth than we had against Forest.
Woolwich had 3 more shots against Bournemouth than we had against Wolves
City had 19 shots against Bournemouth - 1 more than we had vs Southampton.

We are happily creating about as many chances as our rivals, in some cases, against more stubborn teams. Bournemouth have been wide open all season and ripped apart. And yet we've barely had less shots than the teams that have battered them.

Our problem this season is wearing the no.7 shirt IMO.

No doubt at all.. by miles the better player. But unfair to judge Dier on daft errors and lapses in concentration when he hasn't been committing them for over a year now.

Got it.

Kane, Son and Kulusevski out!

It’s probably my own fault, but I was watching a Spurs “fan” channel on YouTube last night and I never realised that 10 points from 12 is a crisis.

Whilst I can agree we’ve not played “champagne football” so far, we’re hardly in the bottom three and getting smacked by everyone we’ve played so far.

Yes, the transfer window could be better, but they make it sound like we’ve signed no-one decent and can’t win a game at the moment.
