I have no affiliation to anyone but I am balanced. When I call it wrong I will say so.
I thought our summer's work was good and was more than content, only thinking we needed to get a player in if Conte was not going to use Gil.
What I did not expect and neither am I as smart as you and the merry band of spenders who could have foreseen how poor the following have been:
Conte
Lloris
Son
Bissouma
Richarlison
Add to these 4, injuries to Kulusevski and Bentancur and I think you can see that in theory our squad is good enough but you cannot (unless we are as able to foresee as you) sone sound reasons for our relative paucity.
But on 15 million pounds a year you expect a manager to do a damn sight better, regardless of his merry band of apologists.

You're not balanced, you are an apologist, nothing more and nothing less. Blaming another coach to try and deflect blame from Levy. Conte overachieved for a brief period, he's a boring manager but not an incompetent one. The squad is dreadful & is deservedly losing to any decent team now Son/Lloris have fallen off a cliff.

What’s giving me hope is that if Zaniolo really was our main target, we would have bought him three weeks ago. We wouldn’t be in a tussle with Spam.
That would be too tragic, even for us.
Now, my hope is that the club is entirely focussed on some sort of sale and, in two weeks, having done nothing in the window, we will get an update about QSI investment. The club will reset. The entire mood will change and we will look to the future.
Of course, knowing ENIC, there is a healthy chance that we really are plumbing new depths of incompetence, but all we can do is hope.

Conte’s heart and mind have been elsewhere for a good few months. He’s not the sole reason why we’re gash, but he’s certainly not helping the situation.
I’ve had jack of Levy and co, but they’re not to blame for the pitiful onfield display, the constant defensive subs when we’re chasing a goal, or some players never getting dropped while others seemingly not getting a minute.
Now this joke of a transfer window, yes that is all down to Levy and the board.

Conte's checked out, sure. But there's a good reason for that. Any coach working under these same conditions will likely face the same issue a year or less down the line, unless they have the patience of an absolute saint.
Lloris is chucking it in his own net and the alternative is Forster though, and Son is done. Two of our most important players. We just don't have the strength to deal with that. He probably should've dropped Son sooner ( I see the logic in trying to play him in to form as without him & Kane firing we are mediocre as hell) but meh.
Crap keeper, one cb worth a damn, crap wing backs, one midfielder playing to a reasonable standard. I don't like Conte/his style of play & yes he's made some poor decisions but I'm not placing the overarching blame on him, we might have a bounce if we sacked him but we'll be right back here soon enough.
