Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

TonySoprano TonySoprano I know, I just am frustrated we keep saying the same. It is never the "the greatest display". We can scrape results but even against inferior teams we lack any semblance of control in games.

I can't stand the back 5 system we play with 2 in the middle of the park. Can't wait for things to change.

I get the relief part, definitely. But I fear the mood will shift again if City batter us again in our next league game.

Conte style of football is not for everyone but anyone remember when we played Fulham away under Poch and we scraped by with a 1-0 win thanks to Harry Winks... 😂
Ok that's true, but we're 29 games into the season now (including all cups) and almost every single win we've had has been won in this manner. I'd love for this to be the turning point and we start performing like last season again and get some consistency but it doesn't feel like it's going to happen.

I hope I'm wrong though. But despite tonights win it still feels like something is off.

I'm not sure, this time last season we also had a few bad results with losing to Chelsea, Southampton and Wolves. Probs a few other rubbish results too.

I think we will pick up much like we did last season.

On tonight I thought it was one of our more solid performances especially the 2nd half where we defended really well against a team that has got some good results this season at home.

I get it's not perfect and we're most certainly not the finished article but I hope we give Conte time and some kind of agreement is come to.

For me I'm not a fan of going back to Poch, brilliant at the time but not really sure it would be the right appt this time round.

Almost everything is off. With players like Kane we always have a decent chance against the likes of Fulham whoever is in charge.

The team has no character whatsoever.

sending us out with 10 men every game has to fucking stop. well be going out of the CL straight away if he doesnt fucking sort it out.

some players seem safe no matter how shit they are playing. thats not on and we will rightly pay the price.

I think Conte's going to play the same team from last year, with Perisic being the only exception.

Romero-Dier-Daves is what got us into the CL last year.

Everyone getting giddy after a 1 nil scrape against Fulham? I'm unconvinced. Conte doesn't suit us and I don't see where we are heading under him.

Problems we have are ENIC centred, yes, and choice of manager for me is one element.

Yes we won tonight but can someone seriously tell me that was anything short of eye bleedingly poor?
Not giddy but I switch to Conte in tonight and it definitely wasn't because of the performance but after seeing Kane's interview. At first he talked about how much fitness work they do, which I wasn't keen on as judging by how we play it looks like we don't even kick a ball in training. But after that he got quite emotional speaking about the hard time they have had (especially Conte) and you could clearly see he was behind the manager.

It's easy to forget that this has been a hard time for all of them and coupled with poor results the squad definitely looks down. Confidence plays a huge part and it can come back as quickly as it goes. Get a few new faces in and after a few more wins we could definitely go on a run like we did towards the end of last season.

Conte is a winner and a fighter and I don't think he has lost that, I just wish he would be a bit more flexible and give others more of a chance when his first choice players are clearly not doing the business.

It wasn't pretty but certainly wasn't a poor performance, thats nonsense
