Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Yes it can and likely would (besides isn't "not any worse" a fools target?).

For the foreseeable; the best 433 we could likely field is:

XXX / Romero / Davies / XXX
Sarr / Skipp / PEH
(....with no other MFs on the bench)
We play 3CBs; not exclusively because it's Conte's preferred system, but because we arguably don't have a single CB that is suited to a flat back 4 (Romero being the only one worthy of such a debate).
Dier and Sanchez played in a back 2 under Jose?

He's got to go. I tried not to be knee jerk about it after the Nuno and Mourinho cockups. Either the guy doesn't care or doesn't know what to do.

It's not just one or two mistakes, the number of fuck ups is getting ridiculous. We're on track to have one of the worst defensive records in the club's entire history. We're conceding at a rate comparable to relegation fodder.

Worst of all, there's nothing to indicate he is even trying to change things.
Still like half of this forum want´s this to continue!?

Conte has the third best winning percentage of any manager in our history in the league.

The problem with that stat is that Tim Sherwood is second best and Mason has the best % of wins of anyone 😩

WHY are they not suited for a flat back4????

They look like they are not suited for a back 5 either

Why not take one of those awful CB´s out of the equation, and put another midfielder on instead?
That would end us always being outnumberd in midfield, and in doing so taking a lot of pressure from our CB´s.

4-2-3-1 with 2 CB´s and 2 sitting midfielders in front of them should be more than enough to stabilize things

If you think you can pick a 4231 out of our currently available players which has a strong chance of us being better defensively then let's see it.........

I personally have no problem playing defensive football.

My issue is with playing with no intensity or plan. Defensive football does not have to be bad or boring. Play with a good press and it can be quite fun.

But we don't do that so there's nothing to enjoy about the defensive displays.

I've been saying it all along.
We won the game against Leeds with luck. Perfect time to boot him - on the back of a win, so less embarrasing for bothsides - because it was blatantly clear that he has no fucking ideas left.

It would have given new coach more than a month to train with non-WC players.
Then another 5 weeks before transfer window shuts to see who we need to bring in to be competitive.
And then another half of the season to properly settle in and go fresh to new season.

Now we will sack this idiot after the winter transfer window is shut
.. and will be forced to either write off 45 mil signing; force new manager to play with 3 CBs or adjust players main position
...and we will have to endure this pathetic vomit that he puts on the plate for us
...and new manager will have to take over without proper time or room for changes in the transfer window.

There is no long-term view, that is clear. But we don't even plan as much as half a year ahead (!!).
Just live in this (depressive) moment.
Very hard to judge Kane, any talented youngster (Gil, Sarr, Spence) or anyone else wanting to leave. People want to have some kind of plan, vison and path. Right now it is just total fucking mess without end.

I love Spurs from the bottom of my heart and will be Spurs 'till I die... but if it would be matter of choice, I would in fact like to be able to turn back on this absolute fucking mess....

Oh shit I just saw the Sessegnon thing.

That's gotta force us into a back 4 in some situations, no way around it. Perisic can't play 90 minutes twice a week.

Do you wanna bet??
He will bring on fullback from U-16 if needed. But he will change fuck all.

He has seen the light.
He knows the best setup.
And keeping his setup is far more important to him than Spurs wins or losses ever will... He has proven that over and over and over again
