It's still good business from his point of view to get out of a contract early, collect the pay off and then get another job.

This isn't a Conte thing either and, IMO, it's why we now see so few coaches stay in jobs long term and just down tools when it all goes a bit shit.
Very few coaches just accept they're not good enough for a job and walk away without a penny. It used to be fairly common pre 21st century.

For me, the practice of giving coaches x amount of years and having to pay them that (or something) to sack them when they're fucking useless is criminal.
What other job do you get paid to leave when you're doing a horrible job?

No, it is not. And I have not claimed it to be the case.

But getting smacked 4:1 by Leicester who didn't even play well as a team;
Outplayed 2:0 by Aston Villa at home;
Being on route to posting worst defensive record in 10 years;
Getting 4 points out of 8 games against top 6 + Newcastle;
Literally fucking over and shipping out young talented players;
Playing only his favorites despite their form or performances;
Eliminated from cup competition against Nottingham fucking forest;
....
All that while being given Kulusevski, Bentancur, Perisic, Bissouma, Richie, Lenglet, Spence, Porro, Danjuma -that is more backing than previous managers have got.
AND earning more money than any previous managers have.

This is not good enough. Not even close.
This is fucking stealing. If any of us would do our job so poorly, we'd be fired on the spot.
 
It's an entertainment business. Contes football is not entertaining. I dont pay knowing from the first whistle were on back foot. Like to see skill, craft, possession, movement and on front foot. Not much to ask considering were charged one of highest ticket prices in world football.

....And if you fire(*) someone without them breaching the terms of their contract then you have to pay off the remainder of said contract.

(*Well terminate their contract to be precise.)

None of this amounts to or correlates to theft.

I'm finding it harder to argue with this kind of thing. I definitely thought we would be doing better than this.

Negatives:

We've got Forster for 2 months
We've lost Hugo, Bents and Biss for foreseeable future.
Conte and Kane aren't signing any time soon.
Our football is only occasionally good to watch (City being a fun one)

Positives:

We've got a new keeper for 2 months.
They were probably saving themselves for Milan
We're still 5th, with almost half a season to go
We have the hardest half behind us.
We've got a real RWB now*
We've got some competition for Son in Danjuma

* Yes, he had a bit of a mare** in his first match, but there were some very nice bits in there, too.
** get a grip, it was his first game in a new team/formation with weak CBs. I could see a real footballer there. Hojbjerg was also a bit off his game.

NOTE: Choosing where to put the Forster/Hugo/Keeper items was a headache, so just fuck off. x
 
Persisting with son and Kane together is just getting ridiculous. We can’t press at all with both of them.

Kane is better so son has to be sacrificed and we need to be willing to press. We are too shit with the ball to create chances on our own.

There's a big difference between underperforming, which he is, and being a cancer stealing from the club. It's quite amusing you are doubling down on it.
