We can't afford to be that snide about our predicament. We need able bodies and we can't expect Skipp & Sarr alone to carry us through the rest of the season.
He was quality beyond his years tonight though..... Very good performance. Pressumably the biggest game of his career so far and he didn't look phased at all.
I wouldn't really say Conte brought him into the team, Sarr has been feeding on bare minimum scraps this season.
Him playing today wasn't because Conte wanted him to, it's because he had no other choice. If Bentancur and Hojberg were fit/eligible to play I can guarantee you that thats the midfield we would've put out today

Sarr and Skipp also played really well as a pair. Each of them offered the other passing options on the ball, and trusted each other enough to actually pass the ball when given the option to do so.
With PEH and Benta, I never felt that sense of combination play and teamwork.
Also, Conte did one thing right. He used them as the deepest players on set pieces. They did fairly well to prevent counter attacks from our own set pieces. Unlike Sanchez who could easily spaz out and let someone like Leao through.

18 months later, still haven't changed my mind. His all round performance was brilliant. I also think that at home against the Spam he will be more creative. I would love to see him score. He must be ahead of Bisssouma on this performance.
Now I wonder how we can mess this one up? He's got the lot, live he is incredibly impressive. I knew he was special immediately ( despite the weirdos on here saying he would never make a Premier league player)obviously he's very young but this kids our second best midfield player right now. He was only here to to play because we botched a loan...risible stuff from the club.

I thought they both put a shift in in midfield , both neat and tidy if unadventurous, that might have been the instruction mind you
Bentancur and PEH do chip in with goals and assists , can one or both of them do that I have my doubts in all honesty . That is not being negative , as I thought they did well and I think we are not quite as in the mire as we believed at 19.59 yesterday. But even with Bentancur and PEH back we will struggle with 2 forwards out of from and a diabolical back 3

Sarr isn't shy about shooting, I can see him adding some goals if he improves that aspect of his game.
Get him on the after-school shooting drills with Harry.

this is sad but true
he made no volontary rotations, only obliged by injury and ban.
I believe it's unacceptable, especially after a summer market aimed to enlarge the squad more than improve the first XI
agree one of the biggest disappoints of his time here for me as been his lack of squad use. I'm calm about it now as it's very clear he wont be manager next season
I can't find such calm (I wish I could) as we still have plenty to play for....... It's grueling.

most of our hopes for the future are due to his work, because the young players he bought are good
if I think next year we will start from porro, romero, udogie, sarr, skipp, bentancur, bissouma, danjuma, kulu, gil, richarlison.... there is some reasons to be calm.
in the summer we have to buy a proper GK, a proper CB and pretty much the team is done
