We got two and both are kind of on loan.
We did a bit but not nearly enough in the market. Typical Levy and ENIC.

Yet Son is quicker and has a higher up starting position.......... For Son not to be naturally occupying a higher phase of the pitch, logically, it must be by instruction.
I hope he is okay but maybe you are right that it might work out that way. At the very least we will beat West Ham now with the assistant in place who seems to get more out of the players.

TBH, I think he has more to give than we've seen this season and it would be wonderful to be a benefactor of that, but I'm not sure I relish a continued year-to-year 'will he leave?' guessing game.... It's too much of a distraction for the players and too much of a stress-point for the fans.
Conte of last season gets us top 4 again this season.... No doubt of that in my mind.

Or Antonio has signed a new contract with us but will take a sabbatical until next season. Both as likely as far as we know? We have no real clue do we I suppose.
Hope he takes the time to recover fully and properly as he has not looked himself for a while now.

I've given Son plenty of time and excuses. Now I conclude he has lost whatever he had hopefully temporarily. I say whatever he had because I think most of it is in his head.

That isn't how it works. This is what you need to understand.
The squad isn't built for a manager if you have a DOF. That is the exact mistake that the club made for years before appointing Paratici. When you have a DOF they build the squad and then bring managers to work with it.
You may have noticed the praise that Brighton get for being able to bring in De Zerbi after Potter or being able to lose Bissouma and Drossard without feeling it. It's because they don't operate in the dinosaur understanding of football management that your post displayed.
Porro (like Udogie and Spence) is a squad purchase, not a manager purchase. He's not going to be converted into a full-back because it would be incredibly stupid to buy the best RWB available on the market and one of the best in the world, then change his position.
