That's ok too.......

I'm perfectly comfortable that I've not hallucinated similar comments from multiple players, articles etc. over the years.

Something tells me you didn't google very hard..... Look what I just found with very little effort:

Imagine what else you could find if you dug deeper than I just did. :)

Thanks for the links - do you think it would
be possible for club signings to speak to the manager of the club they are signing for ahead of a transfer?

We know he didn't want Clarke; cos he said so.......

If Poch didn't want these other players; he wouldn't go out of his way to get them..... And if he was merely a "head coach" then he likely wouldn't even get the chance.

The man was under a cloud ever since the CL final...... Again the players will tell you that (see Trippier & Sissoko). He was just being a sulky git in that fabled press conference.

I really dont see how Paratici stays in his role once the season is over. If its Poch then the next DoF needs to be singing from a similar hymn sheet in terms of spotting younger technically good players. Maybe that Benfica guy who was mentioned a few weeks back? Or Michael Edwards the guy that was at Liverpool?

The players Paratici has targeted seem to be a pretty good fit for Pochettino- don't see why they couldn't work together

Only Toby was a ready made class player.
Eriksen, Dembele, Jan hadn’t performed that well until Pochettino got hold of them

Still a bit wide of the point....

Prior poster said Jose failed to get what Poch did out of that squad....... However; put simply, it was a significantly different squad by the time Jose got his hands on it compared to Poch's 16 - 18 halcyon days.

Mate, it doesnt matter how much you say it some are convinced Poch walked into some golden team on the cusp of greatness. Not Rose, who was getting stick most weeks and who never forgave us for that, not Walker who after a good first season in 2012 had turned into the brain fart king, not a struggling Dembele who most wanted rid of. We had Lloris who was great and a talented but inconsistant Vertonhen and Eriksen as well as a constantly injured Lamela. Plus a load of old shite like Kaboul, Capoue, Chiriches, Paulinho, Soldado and Adebayor.

Because he is facing a ban. They've already moved him from behind the bench to the stands. We're not going balls out for a guy that will have 12 months of his contract left come summer. As for the players he's done alright, the free transfers have been terrible but i suppose that's standard.

He'll either win his appeal or he'll be sacked.

We're on dodgy ground, legally, to be sacking him in the meantime.

Not you, just a general theme that he was incredibly fortunate. He was with Kane, other than that i think we're in a not dissimilar situation now to then in that we need a massive clearout, a coach to improve decent players and 5 or 6 really good players on top.
Can't both things be true? He inherited a lot of talent and he turned it into a top team. The team that chased the title was the best Spurs team I have ever seen, I remember the 1982 and 1987 teams but I think peak Poch was better.

If he came back he would have a fairly young group to work with, maybe he could do it again. There probably isn't as much to work with this time though.

Yep.... They're all on TFC.... Over the last 7/8 years. or so.... I don't have them bookmarked, and there's a hell of a lot to soft through, but by all means; dive in. 👍

Yes..Yes of course mate :)
