Who knows?
I have gone a bit Honest John Honest John though ... if any incoming manager is told the ceiling for transfers is £30 million, and mostly it will be around £15 million from relegated teams, then where we are now is about where we can ever reach.
I guess we might get top 4 playing a more attacking style in the best case, but without better players we aren't going to the next level.

Why would any manager be told that? Have you not seen our net spend since stadium revenue started coming in?

With Richarlison and Romero as outliers most of our transfers are in the £15-30 million range, if transfermarkt is any guide anyway.

Ah sorry i thought you were talking overall budget rather than individual fees - i think that can be explained by the fact we need to spread the budget quite thin due to needing to rebuild so a high number of players coming in over the last few windows - if we need to buy less then the money available for each deal will increase.

From what I can see we buy more players than e.g. Liverpool or United, but they pay more for the players they buy.

GLC was £28 million unless you add his loan fee and transfer fee together.

Well we ought to considering we certainly weren't in the business of paying 12m loan fees!

Sanchez "up to" £38 million depending on who knows what add ons?

First 5 links on google:

Tottenham complete club-record signing of Davinson Sánchez from Ajax = Up to 42m

Tottenham sign Davinson Sanchez from Ajax = Up to 40m

Tottenham announce Sanchez signing = Club record 42m

Tottenham sign Davinson Sanchez for £42million from Ajax = Reported to be 42m

Tottenham's Sanchez extends contract to 2024 = Reported to be 42m

Fair to say it's above 30m.

Less said about Ndombele the better, that one might have been the final straw for Poch getting the push.

Not the point.... You were talking price-tags above 30m.

My list stands.

EDIT: Ooooops... I forgot Porro too.

All that ranting and raving on the ENIC thread about Spurs not winning trophies and the board being parasites the great ranter John or Joan as he was known back then greatest night as a Spurs fan was a Semi Final win.

But we're all the unambitious ones :roflmao:
