All that ranting and raving on the ENIC thread about Spurs not winning trophies and the board being parasites the great ranter John or Joan as he was known back then greatest night as a Spurs fan was a Semi Final win.

But we're all the unambitious ones :roflmao:

'Cos the levels set by ENIC are so low that a heroic semi-final win IS the best we can possibly hope for or experience, simples.

Anyone else feel like it makes no dfference which manager we have and which players we sign?

It will just be the same shit?
Yes.

We could build a time machine and sign vintage Messi, Ronaldo (BOTH of them) Maldini, Roberto Carlos, Cruyff, Zidane, Beckenbauer, Yaya Toure and Puskás,
re-sign Modric, Bale, Hoddle and Gazza
.... throw in Lewendowski, Müller, Pele and Maradona.... stick Lev Yashin in goal... With Pat Jennings as back-up...

Then hire a Klopp-Pep managerial dream team with 1990's Ferguson and Wenger upstairs as football consultants, and we'd still turn them to shit and win fuck all!!

But in that post mentioned John said the Semi Final win was the greatest night of his Spurs life.

Not the trophy winning 2007/2008 season then?

I thought trophies mattered more to him?

He likes to remind us 1 trophy win in however many years but that's not even his favourite moment.

It's not unambitious to enjoy a comeback from 3 goals down vs Ajax in a CL Semi-final more than winning a league cup. Trophies matter a lot but this was an iconic game in an iconic competition .. not hard to work out.

It's called THFC purgatory.
Unfortunately for us, it's not temporary.

Alan brazil was saying from what hes hearing poch will be back next season. Must admit if chelsea had lost yesterday wouldn't have surprised they made an approach for poch with ridiculous wages to entice him.

Yes which is fine and I don't disagree but when posters mention about the game being more about trophies it gets pushed back to the trophy conversation.

And that particular poster loves banging on about our lack of trophies under this ownership but at the same time there have been alot of great moments under this ownership that don't necessarily revolve around winning a trophy.

Thanks for posting Airfixx Airfixx ....And there's plenty more like that, I can assure you.
Puts to bed once and for all this nonsense I have some anti Levy agenda...doesn't it.

I knew you'd have my back in the end

:dierpochhug:

Here's another one

Well done Daniel Levy for not baying to the mob and throwing away home advantage. And congratulations on pricing it sensibly.
I'm expecting a healthy turnout and a resounding Spurs victory
Plenty more like that

Credit where its due. Criticism where its due. Call it as it is.
....Always been my style.

The best night of your Spurs life is a semi final and not an actual final win?
