From my point of view, if Poch and Nagelsmann aren't coming, Rogers is the best of the rest. Sadly, it feels like neither of Poch or Negelsmann are coming.

Advocating for Potter is insane, he was utterly awful at Chelsea from start to finish. The team he left is considerably better since he left. The team before (Swansea) were better when Steve Cooper took over. He is not as good as people think he is.

Kompany and Carrick are too inexperienced.

Slot - honestly, he could be wonderful, or he could be gone inside 10 game. He's as much of a punt as taking a woman on from the WSL. And no, that's not a good idea either.

The match going fans won’t give Slot a chance. They’ll be “who?” We aren’t the same club that appointed Poch. The stadium has made it impossible to have a project coach. The mindset is now, we pay the highest ticket prices, we want to win and want to be entertained. It needs to be a recognisable name for them to be given a chance. Whether that’s Poch, potter, rodgers, Nagelsmann, Enrique or even Frank. They’ll want a name in order for him to be given a chance.

So he prefers to lose in order to set an example to the club before using the hand her has been delt and try to win. I get it. Personal prestige over the team. I'm glad he's gone. Was Richarlison a club signing, Danjuma?
He didn't think Spence was good enough, so didn't play him. As a result he got Porro. Richy no Danjuma yes. I happen to think Rich and Biss will come good.

You said you called for his head, so it wasn't good enough. Surely Conte cannot implement philosophy and structure y himself without the board?
Yes I did because it wasn’t good enough. Would rather be paying Moldovan farmers on a Thursday than watch the absolute shambles of our 3 cup exits.

The board doesn’t dictate philosophy but I agree they need to provide the structure to achieve it.

Our recruitment at every level is an utter disgrace and for that they are accountable. Not for the fact that PEH can’t pass the ball to me in my garden. After I cut the lawn ffs.

You're ignoring the second part of his original comment - he said:

"I’d take consistently knocking on the CL door for two seasons (is twice consistent??) if the new team were able to build a formation, an ethos and a way of playing that actually was our DNA instead of the Harrods hamper full of Lidl cheese we’ve been putting up with recently."

He isn't saying that he wanted Conte out because of the results, he's pretty clearly saying he wanted Conte out because of pretty much everything else, primarily our turgid style of play I expect.

Tbh I agree - I'd happily take fighting for a CL place each season with a cup thrown in every (say) 4-5 years (something we would have had in last 10 years if we'd not been incredibly unlucky / bottled it (depending on your preferred narrative) at the crucial moments in that period) if we were also playing good football, the kind of football that used to at times make us the envy of the league even despite us never actually winning anything... But the football this season has been horrific, perhaps even worse than under Mourinho, cowardly and passive, and that is just not good enough.
Ok we got Conte out and then after one bleeding game people want Stellini out after screaming for him to take over. Conte was right patience is needed but people don't have any when it comes to the manager. If the next man comes in and gets us playing the best football we've ever but finishes 5 or 6th will that be enough to stop people calling for his head? I don't think so.

I don't think you can laud a man who appealling for patience who mentallly checked out half way through the season and quit 3 months before his contract was up.

Exactly who was screaming for Conte's assistant to take over? There were plenty of Contes out, but can't recall many on here wanted his assistant and backroom staff to stay..

Modern day Christian Gross?

What fucking idiot was screaming for Stellini to take over????? There’s seriously nobody that wanted that. He’s a balloon and is clueless.

The match going fans are way more forgiving than the online ones.

The stadium hasn't made it impossible to sign project coaches. The terrible signings that have let to significant transfer debt have made it impossible.

Yup. TL/DNR because the dog is fighting with me for cushions. But yeah, a club that has a philosophy and an identity even if that means playing Thursday nights, so be it.

We used to have one.

Considering there's still no formal approaches, early talks, or just rumours of talks with Rodgers, Poch, Potter, Nagelsmann and Enrqiue even though they are free and available leads me to believe Levy has his heart set on De Zerbi and although the intital reply from him was "MEH" I think after the final game he'll go all in and offer him dizzying money and sell him on a whole bunch of lies

If that dont work then he'll go to these free agents if there's any left by then.

Forest will sack Cooper and Rogers will end up there in the next two weeks. That’s one we won’t have to worry about.
