Levy In or Levy Out

Got as far as the picture with the “no passion” quote and didn’t go any further. Not reading an article written by someone who doesn’t do their homework on the subject matter. Or is being deliberately misleading as they have an agenda to push.

Any proper Tottenham fan KNOWS that this quote from Levy was during the takeover of Glasgow Rangers. It’s obvious in the snippet from the book that is always posted here, yet the same people drag it up all the time.

A quick google comes up with this, confirming its about Rangers - Spurs chief Daniel Levy's first involvement in football was at Rangers but strangely nothing at all attributing the quote from his time associated with Spurs. Because as the book makes plain, it’s about Glasgow fucking Rangers.

The usual suspects whenever a mean article is posted about their Glorious Leader.

Laugh as much as you want Deuterz Deuterz , but whilst you and your chimps keep posting lies instead of facts, I’m going to call them out.

Plenty to dig at the ownership about. Plenty. So why make stuff up? That’s a rhetorical question. I know the answer.

Chimps are quite intelligent, you’re doing them a disservice.

The quote was about another football venture, why would it change for Spurs? Because he’s a ‘fan’ ? As if that comes in to his thinking at any point. Daniel doesn’t strike me as the sentimental type.

Till proven otherwise I’ll view that as how he views football ownership on the whole, and nothing about the way he’s run us has shown me otherwise.

So read on and address this paragraph:

One cursory glance at Tottenham’s defence drives home this point. Spurs have the fifth worst defensive record in the entire league — worse than some clubs in the relegation fight. How much evidence does a club need to ascertain that its defenders are not fit for purpose? How many capitulations? How many embarrassing failures to hold onto leads? These calamities have been happening — with the same group of defenders — since the Pochettino era. It’s unconscionable that these very same players are still here, still making the same mistakes, still costing the club points, and in some cases, promoted to new positions, and awaiting new contracts.

Are you denying the truth to this?

One of those defenders is Eric Dier who the club want to sign for another 3 years. And the unbelievable thing is that there’s no DoF or manager to sign this off. It’s pure Levy-stained incompetence.
That’s wrong about the defence. Our first choice defence in Poch’s last full season was;

Trippier. Alderweirald. Vertonghen. Rose

That’s what we played in the champions league final

Our first choice defence now:

Porro. Romero Dier Lenglet Perisic

Not a single player in common with Poch.

Our first choice défence last season was probably worse:

Emerson Romero Dier Davies Sessegnon(?)

And last season we had the 4th best defence in the league.

So it’s clear that the article was wrong to say:

A) We had the same failed defenders as under Poch
B) The issue is mostly players. Personnel is only one small part of our defensive issues. Worse personnel last year did significantly better.

"We chose football because it's the biggest money spinner, there's no passion here"

Notice how it's football not Rangers used

Anyone claiming that this quote does not confirm the lifelong spurs fan guff is bullshit , then you're being either deliberately obtuse or your just a deluded simpleton

Lol is that any different to when someone posts an anti Levy post

John Thomas will comment "Superb post" or some such.

same diff.

this whole thread goes around in circles.

Sure but I can empathise a lot more with wanting to pile on Levy. I genuinely can’t understand people who have enough willpower to continuously defend him whilst watching the utter dirge we serve up week after week for years now.

It genuinely impresses me. Even if I wasn’t Levy Out I definitely wouldn’t have the strength to be in the trenches for them week in week out, even after being pummelled by Newcastle.

:harryhmm:"Danny *twich* *twitch*, why are you such a filthy liar and a conman... all you do is bob n' weave and treat the fans like Muggy Punters... I used to fink you were a tchop tchop bloke, but found out you're just a basic bitch conman cunt. Kinell. *twitch*"

:levywtf: "Hey, hey, hey, hold on there, old boy... it's not me, it's Uncle Joe... it's him... not me!"

"It's him, yeah".

 "Oh no *twitch* *twitch* *twitch*, there I go again making stupid assumptions. What a plum I am. Sorry, Dan. Look, I'll make sure I tell everyone you're a tchop, tchop, tchop, tchop, tchop, tchop tchop *twitch* tchop, tchop, tchop, tchop.tchop, tchop, tchop, tchop, tchop bloke."

:levystare:"...you will??

:harryhmm: "Yeah, go on... you're a tchop, tchop fella, Danny. Always knew it. That Marco Boogers, though... *twitch* *twitch* *twitch* *twitch!* *twitch!* *twitch!*

:levylol: "Ok, thanks Harry!! Give my love to Sandra and the dogs! You're welcome round any time (not the dogs)!

Porro and Perisic are not better than Emerson and Sessengnon from a defensive point of view. I voiced concern in the summer over the haste to replace Emerson and Sessengnon with attacking wing-backs and that more thought would have to go into the players' defensive qualities before we could be sure that they would be viable replacements. I got several dislikes and accusations of wanting more players like Emerson.

Clearly, no such due diligence was undertaken with the signings of Spence, Porro and Perisic and that's why we're in the mess we're in.

Emerson and Sessegnon were still in the squad though, right? So they could still be selected (injuries aside).

Very hard to see how that amounts to a criticism of Levy.
