Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We'll be fine either way.

He's a young player still and there's value there whether or not he kicks on at Spurs.

If I remember correctly, his preferred position is AM. Not that that matters a lick, but he's only really been utilized for us (on a regular basis) as a RW, and he hasn't been the same since his injury.

Maybe he's lost a step or maybe his tape has been studied, but he slows down play and takes a million unnecessary touches and no gas, he may be the worst first-choice RW in the Premier League. Off the top of my head I can't name another I wouldn't take over him at the moment.

I haven't seen him in person though, so maybe I'm missing something.

Says we’re not going to buy him.

Hope it’s true.
If this report is trueand I hope it’s false — then it comes down to loss of European revenue impacting our transfer budget but isn’t it great that we won’t be worrying about European matches that we’re not competitive in anyway.

Edited to add: The Independent are reporting to the contrary, claiming that we will make the move permanent

That’s exactly what will happen and quite rightly. I cant see us not buying him. We’ve loads of work to do in the transfer market this summer, why would we give ourselves even more by not completing his signing.
Have you seen him play this season?

Nope, me neither.

Priorities are at the back,

I expect we will still buy him but it won’t be via the obligation clause. He will “return” to Juve at the end of the season and then it will be for the new manager and DoF to decide whether to sign him which I think they will. We can probably even get him a bit cheaper now.

Juve certainly don’t want him back, they need money and don’t want another salary back on them.

The agreed buy-out only makes sense if he'd turned out to be worth more than 35m.
No brainer to try and reduce the fee. I think there's a player there and releasing him only adds to the dozen overdue transfers we need
