Slot was the best manager available that hadn't refused us (Nagelsmann) who was young and fit every single box when it comes to playing exciting football, building on a young team and getting the best out of what he has.

While by no means ideal Rodgers is still a better fit than Nuno. What he makes up in being a better manager he loses in appearing like a sane human being.
