Feyenoord insisting we have yet to make a formal approach
People need to calm down a bit - don’t see how this is on the club
Must admit I was quite excited at the prospect of slot taking us over but doesn’t look likely

Unless it’s Nagelsmann Poch or de zerbi I will be totally underwhelmed but ultimately just want it done !!

No doubt the media have been filling their boots on this story.

But if they weren’t going after Slot then they could have killed the story like they did with Nagelsmann.

Unless the club actually courts the negative coverage in the media and is happy for their fans to be manipulated??

Rodgers will do OK for a year or 2. I've always maintained that.
Shouldn't really be looking long term at him though. He strikes me as someone who gets itchy feet 3 or 4 years in, and once that happens its game over

levy need to either beg Poch to come back and not finalise with Chavs or let Naglesmann pick our DoF and take charge completely. I don’t ever want to wake up with Rogers (David Brent) as our next coach.
Why would t they trust JN to pick a good DOF? Surely his choice would be far better than anything levy or Munn could come up with!

Yes they were mine as well but that sick and Cullen didn’t want poch and they think they know better DOF than JN!
If JN was no 1 choice just ficking give it to him and ask fir his recommendations on DOF. It’s not as if we have anyone lined up. Get the German / Austrian bloke in and jn. Simple really.

think it's been quite clear for a long time now that Levy doesnt want any coach having that kinda power.

signs were there back in preseason of 2019

"Maybe the club need to change my title description, because my job now is to coach the team. It is not a question for me, it is a question for the club. Maybe the club are going to change my title description.

"Of course I am the boss, deciding the strategy to play, training, mentality, philosophy in my area, but in another area, I think I am the coach."

This second manager search in a little over two years where the board do not seem to have any clue what they are doing has made me come to a conclusion. I will not be renewing my season ticket. I also will not be going to any games next season. I am done spending money on this shit show.

I settled for Slot after Levy decided Poch was not worth talking to and Nagelsmann wanted too much control. WTF is going through the boards heads at the moment they seem like a boat without a tiller for the second time in a little over two years.
No no, sacking a Manager with 1/4 of the season left and still right in the mix for CL qualification and then having no immediate succession plan was all part of a grand masterplan, the real candidate would only be available later on in the summer, you know, when all clubs become totally happy to see their decent managers depart without a fuss...

It is literally impossible to find a better candidate than Stellini or Mason mid-season, no remotely competent football managers are available, we aren't allowed to poach someone employed elsewhere, and those out of work need a good long power nap until the summer before being willing to take our £15m per year, it's pure fantasy to believe that we could have found anyone more competent than the work experience nepo-hire at the point that Conte got fed up...

All is in hand, we're still massive, the future's bright, we have nice fixtures and fittings, a few golf courses, a Skywalk, a bloody Go Kart track FFS, and of course there's always Beyonce, no one else will ever sing that!

Exciting alternative. Very attack-minded manager with an incredible record given what recources he and his clubs has had.

Not happening though..
He's been coaching since 1995 and this is the first time 99% of people will have heard his name.

Imagine signing a 32 year old player who's been knocking around league 2 for the last 15 years and claiming he's "exciting" and could be "a good fit"

Not spent too much time on the big scene, but ten times the expirience of our very own Mason. And so much more futureminded and forward thinking than hiring Potter or.. Brendan Fxxking Rodgers.

Not happening though..
Don't know too much about him, however, it's time to take a big gamble with the next manager.

The 'established' names aren't interested and we broke Conte and Mourinho.

We didn't break either of them. Jose went to Roma and won a cup in his first season and seems happy. Conte will go back to Italy, eat some good food, drink some good wine, get a top job and win the league again.

We are the only broken thing in this conversation.

So they didn’t want Poch back, didn’t want to interview Nagelsmann further and can’t attract a manager in Slot from the Dutch league.

This is worse than the search of 2021 because of the quality of candidate available. It must be utter chaos behind the scenes. They’re going to fuck it up well and truly. Is anyone really surprised?

I'm surprised at this latest turn of events but agree with the rest.

No idea where we go next.
