Fucking spot on! However some on here seem to falling for the clubs choices and trying to convince themselves they are good. I mean starks seems to have his own agenda re Ange almost like he works for him based on the amount info he puts out. Crazy we are looking at all these “alternative”. Once JN was sacked by BM majority on here happy as Larry that he had fallen into our laps. Someone some great act of play worked out way. Also with poch available it was like we couldn’t believe our luck. Unfortunately we a board who couldn’t look a gift horse in the mouth.
We’re now a starving Buridan’s Ass

I agree, let's steer clear of Ange he's just the next Mourinho or Conte. Or what was the point of your post?

Pretty sure Jose and Conte don’t believe they had even close to full control at Mr Levy Club
I'd say this is pretty well documented, Richarlison for example.

Nobody knows for sure exactly what is going through Levy's head.....but what we can make a reasonable assumption at is that Levy wants to spend as little money as possible, and, wants to stick with the tried and tested model of choosing and buying players that managers didn't want....you know, the model that has served us so badly in recent years.

So any manager that will cost a reasonable amount of money is out...i.e Slot and Nagelsmann

And.....

Any manager that wants the control of choosing the sale and purchase of players is also out....i.e Slot and Nagelsmann.

Of course I'd love to be proved wrong on this theory and for Levy to actually do as he promised and select a manager that will win the fans over and get our identity back.

It's definitely not the time to be selling any London equity. Recession coming, that's when the predators buy equity not sell.

But if the performance starts to mess with the value of the investment, or we end up in a relegation battle, the knives will come out.

Which would be harsh for Levy. I'm not one of those that thinks he doesn't care. He definitely wants the club to do well but he's lost sight of what worked for him which was getting the right football people in with Redknapp and Poch.

It’s because he never learns from his mistakes. Ever. I’m sure there must be a psychological term for people like that.

Spanish footballers and coaches don't tend to do well in Italy, it's a truism that gets cited over and over again here.

Didn't work out for LE at Roma in 2011-12. Interestingly Marca today reckon he's PSG's first choice. Don't think that would work out to be honest, he's very much a manager that fosters a group dynamic, a team builder. That would seem like the antithesis of PSG to me.

I agree with you, after Nagelsmann he's head and shoulders the best candidate. Him or Rogers? Do me a favour.

Why do you think it hasn’t worked out for him at his other (than Barcelona) clubs?

Not being a club manager for a while is a concern as is we don’t have the players he’d need and knowing us won’t buy them either because of the cost. I’d like to see what he could do but I’d be concerned he’d be set up for failure with us.

ridiculous comparison. Both of them coached and won in the PL. Ange got relegated in the damn Australian league. Fucking hell we may as well as go in for Bob fucking Bradley
1. There's no relegation in the A-League
2. It operates almost independent of every other domestic league in that there is a salary cap. So there is little investment of funds for overseas players outside of the marquee player allocation, and as a result Australian born players are in a small pool that transfer among A-League teams. There is no detrimental effect of finishing last (albeit a 2nd div is coming in soon) and it doesn't in any way reflect managerial competence.

It's Brendan Rodgers.

Didn't Pitt-Viper and Timeshare from the Un-Athletic tell us that "Sources" are saying nobody wants to take the Spurs job?

Unless Poch isn't getting the Chavs job, these guys seem to have sources saying Luis Enrique wouldn't mind the gig??
I don't think they said nobody wants to take the job.. more that it's viewed as a bit of a thankless gig, difficult to succeed in, as two decorated, illustrious, winning managers have failed to achieve much in the role. Enrique probably sees it as the only English job available to him in the next year, probably two. Maybe Newcastle if Howe struggles to balance CL and PL.

He did a good job at Celta with a poor team, got them to 9th when they would have been considered an outside favourite for relegation and a very good job at Spain where he had to rebuild the whole team. It's not his fault that the country hasn't had a top notch striker since Fernando Torres. You also have to factor in the time he took off and the impact on him when his young daughter tragically died.

It's only Roma where he can be said to have failed.

Being out of club football for 6 years is a bit of a worry though, in my opinion.

Of course, he's been in international football during that time but it's a completely different level.
