Your link shows high levels of English proficiency for Italy. That’s a long way from your original comment.
Sure, but it's all contextual. Germanic language countries have more English proficiency than Romance language countries, and it has always seemed to be even more strongly the case in football.

Given that they're playing West Ham, Italiano will probably be asked questions by English journalists over the coming days, let's see.

I'm not saying Ange is untested in a big league but I reckon a managerial duo of Tony Adams and Sol Campbell could win the Scot Prem with Celtic.

Even Stevie G looked good in Scotland.

Australia, J League and Scotish Prem just don't compare.
True, if your sole focus is on what have they won and where.

We've done that to death, and all it's really done is take us further down the rabbit hole.

I've followed Postecoglou's career since Brisbane Roar. I can't stress enough just how impressive his managerial talent is. Whilst the Australian/Japanese/Scottish are not near the same level as the Prem, it doesn't change the fact that he's taken 'also ran's' and turned them into champions. Everywhere.

He makes teams better, he makes the players in those teams better. He has a 100% record on this, and that is where the focus needs to be.

Denigrating his abilities, because he hasn't done it at the highest level, is arrogance of the highest level. Let's not forget that Wenger was managing in Japan when the filth took him on. Granted he managed Monaco before that, but the French league, at the time, was a poor one. The Portuguese league isn't one of the top leagues in Europe either, 7th in the FIFA rankings. That hasn't stopped Amorim from being on the wishlist of many, nor did it stop Mourinho from developing into one of the best managers in the last 20+ years.

We've had some of the best managers in World Football fail here. To compound that, the Football they've had us playing has made our eyes bleed. Whilst I can't and won't guarantee that he'll make us Champions, I most certainly will guarantee that he'll give us a team that'll play Football we'll all love watching.

I'm nailing my colours to the mast now, I want Postecoglou.

PostcardfromHonalulu won things because Gerrard left when Rangers were dominant.

How did !Stevie G" get on in the EPL?

This summer highly-placed people at Spurs have to sit down and properly articulate the identity of the club and the style of football they want us to play. From there we need to get in a DoF and manager who will work well together, then begin to clear out the squad - we have too many players past their sell by date, not quite good enough or plain average. We need to make 4 or 5 big signings - a left back, midfielder who can pass the ball forward, left sided centre back, goalkeeper, and then a forward depending on what happens with Harry. It's a really big job ahead and this time the bigwigs at our club need to get it right.

Jury is out for me on whether they will.

And when this one dies in the water, who will be "better than Slot and Ange anyway"

The way fans move on and reconcile this shitshow in their head mystifies me.

If we are or want to be a big club, we get the guy who earned his job at Bayern. First choice, all in, make it happen.

Instead we bottle it because he wants to win. We then just stagger around like a drunk, thick, geordie looking for a kebab van at 4am.

And our fans keep on coming up with ways to make that kebab the best possible kebab when in fact, it's undercooked and unseasoned

The only coach better suited to us that was available than both Slot and Ange is Nagelsmann. Unless of course you're of the mind that every manager is available for a price. That it'd be de Zerbi.

We should be looking at coaches that are proven to improve teams they take over. Play good football. Play young players and improve players they manage.

Ange, Slot, Nagelsmann and De Zerbi are the only ones on that list that tick every single one of those boxes. There a few that tick others like Alonso and Kompany but again, they're not available.

To be honest mate I've already put you in your place when it comes to Ange and his managerial history which conveniently you knew not to reply to, so I'm surprised you replied to this one in the first place.

Looks like the sudden availability of Lampard has gone unnoticed around these parts.

He plays our kind of soccer, doesn't he?
