We need a manager with a vision who will be backed and given time. By the board and the fans.

In the last 11 seasons we have been in the top 4 five times. We talk like we belong there. We don’t. City the only club that have managed that feat.

City = 11/11
Chelsea = 8/11
Liverpool = 7/11
United = 6/11
Spurs = 5/11
Woolwich = 5/11
Newcastle 1/11

Four of those were in a row under Poch with arguably the 3rd best squad in our history. That team would walk all over our current lot.

So I think people have got a huge wake up call coming their way.
Even with the possibility of 5 places in the CL (on average will be 4 out 5 years) we have got a fight to muscle our way into that top 5 with Newcastle on the scene all while totally rebuilding the spine of our team.

Football works in cycles.

Are we at the end? Maybe the start? or in the middle of our current one?? I have no idea tbh.

I honestly would say Rodger’s has a higher chance of success than Ange. At least players will have heard of Rodger’s and he has experience of working at a top club.

Rodgers has a higher chance of getting us relegated than Ange.

The last team he coached got relegated and you can ask any Leicester why they did.

At least Ange is an unknown quantity….

With Rodgers you know for sure down is the direction you are headed

No news is not good news, it's a sign we are in a mess again. DoF is clearly the major sticking point... it seems, incredibly, we don't know who we want.

DoF will narrow the managerial choices. So let's say we get Steidten from Leverkusen...good chance he'd go for someone from Bundesliga, but then we've already ruled out the outstanding candidate in Nagelsmann. It's just such a mess.

I personally think we need a DoF with experience of English football/the Premier League, like Edwards when he was at Liverpool or Ashworth at Newcastle. They know what works here and are likely to be better aligned with the culture of an english club.

For me, Postecoglu is the best managerial fit of those left and maybe Scott Munn will favour a fellow aussie and press his case. But I'm not confident we are going to get this right.

Does it not concern all you Rodgers haters, that Daniel Greedy could easily, and probably will, get it more horribly wrong than even him?

Let's not forget he hired Nono. Whether you blame Paratici for that or not is neither here nor there. Levy controls absolutely everything and he signed off on that.

In terms of being fit for the job, I'd give Rodgers a 5 out of 10. I wouldn't even give Nono a 1 out of 10.
So if I were you, I'd be concerned about who we get if you all start a #notoridgers when this news starts to spread
Who is worse than Rodgers?

There isn’t anyone he could get worse than Rodgers .
Gattuso?
Nathan Jones?
Bruno Lage?
LAMPARD!
Gracia?
Jesse Marsch
Gerrard?
Throw in the likelihood of Allardyce and Smith becoming available

You really need to be careful what you wish for. As I wouldn't put anything past Greedy bollocks. Any out of coach gimp will do, as long as he says he can get the best out of "this world class squad" that's been dropping down the league for 4 years save for 1 miraculous blip last season

Lampard is worse, I’ll give you that.

Jesse Marsch is a better coach and better fit than Rodgers. His next job will be something like RB Leipzig or a good level German/French club that know what they are doing.
Leeds wouldn’t be relegated if they kept him. Their fans feel the same way about their board as we do.

I'm not here to defend Rodgers.

I must make that clear.

However; his overall win percentage, as a manager, is better than Pochettino from a similar amount of games managed in similar leagues / situations.

My point is; the statistics suggest Rodgers would do a very similar job to Pochettino in terms of win percentage.

His style of play is watchable too.

We all know our team is shit. There were some remaining fans who thought the likes of Direbolical were good, but everyone is now on side that a huge clear out is desperately needed.
No one believes this team is deserving of top 4. What fans believe, is that THFC, with one of the biggest fan bases and revenue streams, should be able to build a squad that is capable of it.

This is just utter nonsense. Leicester are in a terrible state. That isn't Rodgers fault.
Do you think he wanted to sell his best players every window and have no one come in? They let Schmeichel leave, and from what I can tell, picked a fan to stand between the sticks all season. They sold Fofana to Chelsea for £80m and picked a look-a-like for David Luiz to replace him, who is about 1/8th the player of the worst version of Luiz. Madness.

The only thing Rodgers did "wrong" was to refuse to walk away. Contractually speaking, that is a question of decency Vs a multi million pound payoff he was legally entitled to.
Leicester signed up him to a highly paid long term contract and then pulled the rug out from under him.
We could easily have been in the same boat if we didn't sack Poch tbh. If you leave a disinterested coach in place for too long, you will be in a relegation fight, even with a decent team.
Harry Kane can knock 30 a season in, but if you have a clown show at the back, it won't matter.

You're acting as if he's in the same league of ineptitude as Lampard, who quite simply put, is not a football coach. He doesn't know what he's doing and should never get a job again.
I've listed a comfortable half a dozen coaches who would be dramatically worse for us than Rodgers.
I'd throw Potter in there too. Kane will go from 30 goals a season to a 30 expected goals a season and fuck all actually scored.

If it ends up being him , your showboating should be something to behold , it will be the every cloud moment

I got told about Rodgers before Conte started playing up.

Leicester went off a cliff and Conte was doing everything he could to invite the sack.

It looked to me as though once Conte knew he wasn't being retained he lost interest and Levy had begun his search.

Rodgers fits Levy's M.O.

Leeds won 11 games after Bielsa was sacked in February 2022.
11 games from 50 overall.
Under Marsch this season, they won 4 from 20.
He was a clown. He won't be taken seriously in the PL. He had no respect from the players, the fans, the media. If you'd seriously take him over Rodgers, then I think you might need some form of counselling.
