Imagine taking 66 days (let's face it, it's going to be at least 2 more weeks as well) to come up with an identity for this club, do your due diligence on coaches and DOF's, then reach the conclusion that the best man for the job is Brendan Rodgers who just got Leicester relegated.

It's interesting how we can all get fixated to a position, which is 100% accurate within our minds but which has flaws.

Rodgers did not get Leicester relegated and won more for them than Pochettino, Mourinho and Conte combined for us. Silva was sacked before and yet Fulham this season.

I think Rodgers would be fine but we all want more than fine but there are always holes in fixed positions because they reveal inherent bias.

Just saying

If Rodgers is appointed, gets Maddison, some centre backs and retains Harry Kane it could work.

Rodgers will not be a popular choice but he has experience and a decent track record in the Premier League in terms of win ratio and style of play.

Nagelsmann might be hanging on for the City job.

I can’t believe it’s come to this …

Do you know what Poch's win ratio was only including the time that he managed us?
54.27%

It's all here.

I've looked at Rodgers numbers at Leicester and Swansea.

Juxtapose these with Poch's numbers at Southampton.

Poch was better than Rodgers, in terms of win ratio, at Spurs when compared to Rodgers at Liverpool.

It's the same when comparing Rodgers at Celtic to Poch at PSG.

Both of these clubs are expected to win the league every season and only have one main rival.

Rodgers lacks the public charisma of Poch and we all obviously love Poch.

The facts suggest there isn't that much between them.

We all know our team is shit. There were some remaining fans who thought the likes of Direbolical were good, but everyone is now on side that a huge clear out is desperately needed.
No one believes this team is deserving of top 4. What fans believe, is that THFC, with one of the biggest fan bases and revenue streams, should be able to build a squad that is capable of it.

Well this is proof that a year is a very long time in football!! Most had us nailed on for top 4 this time last year. Yourself (and myself) included.

So you definitely did believe that THFC had built a squad capable of it then - no???

Up to match day 28 we had spent most of our time in the Top 4 - so we aren’t all totally mental either.

It’s why I made the point of asking where people think we are in the cycle.
But as we need to dismantle this squad what are your expectations for next season?
Top 4? 6? 8? Lower??

IMO right now the overall position we are in (squad aging/no manager/ no DOF) seems to point that getting into that top 4/5 won’t be easy with Newcastle on the scene as well.

And I guess when the poll comes along, we have a manager in place and we know what Harry Kane is up to we will get a chance to see what all the people expect from 23/24.

Enrque, no where near the top of my list but wouldnt be that mad at it. Though the club would have to sell everyone who can't pass under pressure

both goalkeepers
ben davies
eric dier
sanchez
tanganga
sessegnon? not entirely sure, seen so little of him really

Someone else already explained that he had 9 points from 23 games and the damage was already done.

Leicester fans are pretty clear his signings and team selection are the reason they went down.

He’d be a fucking awful, short sighted, appointment with zero ambition
