Manager Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Some of you cunts need to get over yourselves...take a look at the Pochettino thread and take a note of all the fucking experts running him down before he even set foot in the door...

This guy is the best we can do at the minute and I've had a gut full of born winners shitting on my club...

Amount of Australians living in London this will be a master stroke by Daniel.

Looking forward to having a pint of Beavertown “Strewth” with some Barbied prawns down at the lane in 2024.

So underwhelming at first glance but I just don’t know enough about him. Will tune in to the cup final but knowing how past managers from the SPL have done in the EPL I’m not too excited (yet).

And of course he will be the second oldest manager in the league if he comes… I just don’t get it man, after the media briefings that said we want someone young and up and coming
Levys left arm not knowing what his right arm is doing

It's a gamble, but show me an appointment which isn't. Probably a better fit than Conte or Jose, plays better front foot football than Nuno.

Won't see us as some sort of charity case either.

Given how many people wrote off Poch when he was appointed, or how many wrote off De Zerbi at Brighton and how I recall the goons were ridiculed for appointing Wenger from the J League then let's be honest, most football fans know sweet FA really.

If it's him, I hope it's a roaring success.

If this happens it's gonna cause another divide in the fanbase.

One half will be wrong. I hope it's my half, as I'd rather any coach comes and proves me wrong when I suspect they'll be a failure.

Good advice. I did actually go and scan through the first few pages.

Some crackers in there

I'd rather stick with Sherwood

He would definitely not be an improvement over Sherwood.
If his name was Frank Smith no one would be interested in him but as he is the latest 'carlos kick a ball' in managerial form he MUST be good.

Anyway no thanks I would rather stick and see where Tim takes us

can't see any reason to fire sherwood for an underperforming young manager..

Emporer's new clothes. He's the La Liga Alan Pardew. Be furious if he rocked up here. Empty vessel. Would prefer Nigel Adkins

Speaking of Poch, I feel like everybody should go and read the first few pages of his thread on here
I didn't want Poch before we got him. And tbh, after his first season, I still wasn't convinced.
He was at his very best with Mitchell signings like Dele, like Toby, like Son. Once Mitchell went, we resorted to signing Sissoko, Moura, Sanchez, Ndombele, GLC etc and it all fell apart for Poch.

I do think it was a perfect storm between 2016 and 2018. The right players in that system were great. The wrong players in that system were bad and he couldn't turn it around.

I agree. 'Proven' winners have shit on this club. Angie would genuinely be delighted to be here. Willplay exciting football. Wont bend over for levy either
How do you think it will play out for any coach who won't bend over for Levy?
Conte didn't bend over for Levy. He froze out all the players he didn't want absolutely mercilessly.
So how is Ange gonna be different and still not bend over?
For me, you bend over for Levy or you leave. That's the only real reality I see and it's why we're never going anywhere.

I like the cut of his jib and he seems a very decent bloke, however, even the people claiming to row in behind him surely know deep down that this is not going to work out.

When is the last time a manager that was successful in Scotland has come down and done well in the Premier League? The only one you can genuinely say is Brendan Rodgers, who had Celtic playing just as well if not better than Ange, and no one wants to touch him with a barge pole… look at the state of the likes of Gerrard, Strachen, Neill Lennon etc when they came down to manage at even Championship level. Couldn’t hack it in the slightest. It’s just such an incomparable level.

It really is outright incredible that considering the candidates that were available this summer we have somehow landed on Postecoglou, but then again nothing about our ownership should ever surprise anyone anymore.

The Celtic fans that have come on here said that Ange's football is better than Rodger's
