People on here still using Nagelsmann as a measure or alternative should realise he is holding out for the PSG or Naples job. He just thinks he is better than us so fuck him

River aren't the best team in the league, they have only finished 1st 4 times in 20 years, where as Boca have won it 9 and there have been 11 different winners in that time, it is a very competetive league.People that want Gollardo over Ange - why? They have similar resumes and both coach the best team in mediocre leagues
I dont get that though. But I’m not gonna join the ‘look at all the stuff he’s won in Scotland and Australia’ cringefest that NOBODY would be saying about him if he wasn’t linked to Tottenham.
I dont get that though.
The first great manager I remember was Martin Jol, and who was he? Some nobody from a midtable Dutch club who became Santini's assistant... hardly inspiring stuff.
Meanwhile everybody applauded us for getting Conte, and look how that worked out.
To be fair I've not seen anyone say that. I agree it would be overly simplistic to make that claim, but on the flip side achievements in weaker leagues shouldn't be discounted. My issue is when people then counter with ‘But he is proven because he’s won the A-League!’ because it simply isn’t something they’d argue in a different context.
The Argentine League maybe an inferior quality, but in its fast, aggressive style and competitiveness, its closer to the PL then any league in Europe and the quality is higher than the Scottish League.
Anyone who is able to move Naples is interesting. He's taking a break from football. He also moved Naples to be closer to his family
Martin Jol didn't win anything and was sacked by Daniel Levy.I dont get that though.

Yeh, name me just 1 good, exciting Argentinian player ever.I'll pay top dollar for what you're smoking while watching football
I find it hard to imagine a more pedestrian league than the Argentinian one.
The excuse trending at the moment seems to be "we've hired tried and tested proven world class winners in the past, and look how they turned out"& I have no issue with the ‘wait and see’ attitude. He might end up being good. But it’s a gamble by the club on an unproven coach.

If we get him - full support. Till then, he’s fair game for scrutiny. But yes, C.V isn’t everything, we know that.
Chairman's dream
Not a direct response to your post. But sorry, this needs to be said. He's taking a break from football. He also moved Naples to be closer to his family
