been saying since Ange started getting talked about
this smells to me as if Levy is looking to max out tourist fan money, ange knows the asian market as does Munn and with out CL money Levy wants a new money stream what's better than a new couple of "Sonny's" from the Asian football area
these tourest fan seem happy to costs of seats and spend £100's in club shop on match days, if that what it takes to keep money rolling in well Levy will take it

I dont think even Levy is that cynical.

If the club fails in the premier league, no amount of beyonce concerts, asian fans or NFL games is gonna raise the clubs valuation.
It's all nice extra padding but the only thing that will put the club in the man united bracket of value is titles and constant champions league football

De Zerbi's Brighton release clause is 11.5 mill and his contract is 5 mill per year. I think if he wanted to come we would make the effort. Unfortunately we are a shambles and he is rightly probably put off joining us.

De Zerbi to us and Postecoglou to Brighton......everyone's a winner

Or we could wait for it all to go pear shaped with Brighton losing their best players and struggling with 2 comps next season.

Might get him for free.

De Zerbi is clearly decent but massively overhyped right now. If he gets through the real challenges next season, then we can talk about him as big time. Right now it’s marketing.

£11.5 m for a 40% win record and has effectively only been here for a season is hideously overpriced.

Only if he is prepared to pay the money, we had a chance to buy Kim min Jae for 10m but Levy wouldn't bid more than 5m.

De Zerbi is overrated & will fall off next season. Watch this space. Terrible example as he walked in to a cosy ass environment with low expectations.

I despise this idea that because two dinosaur big name coaches failed, we should now pursue nobodies. At least Poch was proven in the top divisions.

Crocodile Dundee is a nobody from nowheresville - a total shot in the dark. Let’s hope he can earn these players respect quickly.
Where exactly has your head been the last few seasons or need i ask??? First Sassuolo, then Shaktar and then little old Brighton. Yes Potter laid some great foundations but DeZerbi took them on another level and everybody bar YOU knows that...you must be a bigger tool than Levy to come out with shit like that. Jose and Conte couldn't sort your club out so I suggest you aim your dinosaur comments to Levy but you've got your head stuck somewhere very dark. If you do get Posty you may be surprised, you may not. Enjoy your summer!

Status drift. Other clubs starting to do business and we remain stuck in the quicksand.

Beyond fcuking belief, even if you just try and detach yourself.

4 years ago today we were gearing ourselves up for a CL final.

Astonishing.

And the weather is a joke. Doubt I have seen so many people looking so cold on June 1st as today.

Just because Potter's was £20m doesn't mean De Zerbi at £11.5 is good value, wait until he has another season and is actually faced with some adversity

Agree about the adversity but I think it's clear he is a good manager. Next season will be tougher for Brighton, they are losing Caceido and McAlister and will have European football go deal with. However what's important for any candidate is the style of football they offer and whether they can organise and motivate a team. De Zerbi has proven he can do this throughout his career.

I'm someone who would accept any one of Potter, Postecoglou, DeZerbi.....just want to see some forward thinking football

The excuse trending at the moment seems to be "we've hired tried and tested proven world class winners in the past, and look how they turned out"
"So, let's just pluck some old oaf from the bottom of the pile and see how things work out with him"

Honestly. Our fans :contefacepalm2:

Same fans who bask in meaningless faux outrage against these owners online and refuse to attend protests no doubt

Honestly our fans eh...💪

Jesus Christ you wre literally writing off any name linked........who do you want?

Agree. I want someone that plays good stuff and given a fair wind and a bit of luck can potentially build something over 3 or 4 seasons. De Zerbi, Postecoglou and Potter fit the bill for that. Cant see the point wanging on about Naglesmann now, something has spooked them about him and if the next manager flops they'll have to answer to that. Just want us to crack on now as we're wasting time while other clubs are buying.

You a Celtic fan? Defending De Zerbi?

It all points to Ange with Munn involved, tour to Australia and Celtic’s season finishing this weekend.
If it is him he’ll get my full backing but how on Earth can we not throw everything at Nagelsmann. He ticks every single box. He’s young and hungry, been successful, his teams are excellent to watch and are aggressive and quick.
We have definitely missed the boat on him.

I get some serious red flags about him, Bayern sacked him when they were on for a treble, Chelsea passed on him and so did we, he's now being linked with Napoli, I don't know it seems like he's flavour of the month and name but there's something about him that maybe we aren't seeing.
