''Former Celtic manager Martin O'Neill has made clear his hope that Ange Postecoglou stays at the club, having spoken to him amid interest from Tottenham''

Anyway surely it makes sense to hire the footballing director first. It's his long term vision for player recruitment, and playing philosophy that guides the clubs footballing path, hence the new coach should be picked in collabration with him.

All this is likely more random noise, someone somewhere must've just gotten a hint from someone that somone at spurs thinks he could be a possible choice, no more. And it's just taken on a life of it's own like Slot

Fully agree with this.

Probably the next favourite won't even be the guy that gets appointed.

Just my personal opinion but I think Rodgers is nothing but a con artist. The media love him and build him up but I don't think he has a Scooby.
He's a imitator rather than innovator. I remember Glenn Johnson talking as if Rodgers just copied Jose Mourinho. It was on some YouTube channel with the YouTube hosts just talking over Glenn Johnson.

To be fair to Rodgers he's had a decent career and he probably learnt a lot from Jose albeit not necessarily the same style of football.

Just be clear, I don't want Rodgers.

Do you not think there was a massive red flag ignored by Levy on Paratici , a flag that was a lot more than one of your hunches

Fabrizio Romano is suggesting - but not claiming - that Luis Enrique maybe he holding out for the Spurs job. But, if Spurs are interested in him, why haven't they contacted him long before (he was out of a job since just after the WC)?

Fabrizio Romano says 53-year-old manager is holding out for the Spurs job

Luis Enrique is holding out for the Tottenham job according to Fabrizio Romano.

Speaking on the Here We Go Podcast, the journalist was discussing Spurs’ search for a new manager, and he says that the Spaniard is one to keep an eye on in this race to become the new manager of the north London club.

Romano did note that Enrique has held talks with Napoli, but the reporter stated that the ex-Barcelona boss has put that idea on hold as he is waiting for the chance to manage Tottenham.

Enrique waiting for Spurs (?)

Romano shared what he knows about the 53-year-old manager.

“I would keep an eye on Luis Enrique until the end, he has been in talks with Napoli, but he told Napoli that he is attracted by a Premier League option, so I feel that Luis Enrique is waiting for Tottenham now,” Romano said.
