we would be lucky to finish 8th next season
Glasses Why Dont We Have Both GIF by nounish ⌐◨-◨

:levylol:

goes to a lot of games for a man who hates football tbf….
Four reasons.
1)He Loves the Look of his stadium we paid for.
2)Expenses to watch the Games are Tax deductible, beats sitting at home.
3) He Loves to watch Spurs fans Spend their hard earned cash on;
a) Of the most Expensive Team Clothing,
b) Overpriced Vegan Pies,
c) The most Expensive Seats in the League,
4) He gets a hardon looking at the disappointment on our faces, full knowing we'll be back for more next week.

A good coach should still have this team top 7 (with signings).

We legit have relegation level defenders, so any signings have to made there I'd say we need another 2 CBs and another LWB. I think we have to accept that we will be playing 3/5 at the back next year due to the abundance of WBs we signed under Mourinho and Conte.

But id genuinely sell every defender we have at the club bar Davies, Romero, Royal and Porro.

The reason we finished bang mid table is because we have a top 4 attack and bottom 4 defence. I'd imagine with anyone even remotely competent and cash spent in the right areas we will be looking at 6th-3rd next year.

It’s good to hear him speak openly like this and, under the right circumstances, he’s clearly an excellent manager. He’s also charismatic, and you can see why players would love him.

But we conceded 63 goals last season, placing us 15th in terms of GA.

I’m not convinced that an ultra attacking coach is the right call. There has to be some sort of pragmatism applied.

Conte was a defensive coach and we still conceded shit loads of goals. If we improve our possession of the football we will improve our number of goals conceded next season even with the same defence.
Man City do not have the best defenders in the league but they don’t ship many goals because they dominate the ball and push their opponents back.
Obviously we are not going to dominate opponents like city do but even if we average 55% of possession we will be doing a lot less defensive work compared to this season where we have just dropped back and defended most of the games

The more you attack, the less time spent defending.

That's the theory anyway.

He's not interested in coaching defensive, counterattacking Football. That doesn't mean he can't coach a team how to defend properly.

He's also very possession based it's common for his Celtic team team to have 70% of the ball at least basically playing in the oppo half.

I know it won't be like that in the Prem but and I'll imagine we will be very suspect getting countered all the time like peps city where before he spent a Nations budget on getting defenders in.

We as a fan base will forgive goals conceded in the manner we often score against city if we ain't subjected to another year of turgid boring shit football however

Cannot understand any argument for this guy ahead of Luis Enrique but he seems like he’s our man so will get behind up fully, just can’t shake the feeling he’s gonna be sacked by December.

Personally I’m quite excited about the prospect on Ange. Everything I’ve read makes him a good fit. Attacking football, likes to unearth players and gives youth a chance, exactly what we used to do well and made us exciting.

I think too many fans focus on the name a lot now over what the manager can offer. If it is Ange then he has my full support and belief.
Apologies for the Woolwich reference however, they once appointed a bloke who was a manager in Japan.

He seemed to do pretty well for them.

What a fucking joke this appointment is. Combined with the imminent end of the Kane era, our rivals are about to leapfrog us for several years.

Levy is a fucking joke- you can't charge the highest ticket prices in the friggin league and then fail to show enough ambition to back and sign Nagelsmann.

Fuck Levy and fuck enic.

JN i felt would of changed us for the better, under ralf's school of thought, gegenpress teams knows who he wants with the DOF

we really missed the buck with him, he could of been our klopp

the feeling you know something special would of occurred.

we are this far down because the rest are yes men likely having mason as assistant and hoping turds like hojberg and dier will improve

We are so, so fucked.

Kane will ask to be sold this summer, and when Levy dicks him around again, be prepared to watch Kane barely play as he preserves his health for a monster free transfer in the summer.

IF Ange is the guy and IF he has success make sure you don’t jump on the bandwagon ok?

We do not have the centre backs to push up and hold a higher line. We will get slaughtered.

Romero could just about do it, although I wouldn’t trust him. Dier and Lenglet would get eviscerated. So any attempt to play a more aggressive brand of football will require a new CB (ideally a good one).
