Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Lucky for him we aren’t in Europe then isn’t it. Whilst some fans wanted to play in the conference, I am very happy we seem to have gone for a project manager who will get a week on the training ground every week AND plays attacking football.

Next is to ship out all the deadwood we don’t need due to no Europe too, I think it could be coming together.
I mean, sure. But the PL games will be 5 times harder than what he's faced in Europe. Week in, week out.

Reading through the comments here and what i will say is that some of what people say and think about Ange is so naïve and disrespectful.
you guys think that you are entitled to the biggest names in world football to manage your team (which is fair enough) however, you had that in the egotistical maniacs Morrene and conte, how did that work out for you? im more than certain Levy will have done his DD on Ange and he sees him as the right fit for what you need ATM.
Ange is a different animal than what you have have had in the past, just give him a little time and i guarrantee that he will have you all eating out of the palm of his hand.
i for one cant wait to say i told you so

He's going to do jack shit with us, yeah the football may end up being better but the days of us bothering the top teams are now over.

We need new owners AND manager that knows how to win in a top European league.

I can see people looking back and thinking "Fuck, what was Levy smoking?!" at the time he went for Ange over Poch, Nagelsmann and Enrique.

Spurs fan have the right to be sceptical and say what they really feel. We're not one hive mind and this place isn't an echo chamber, ALL opinions should be welcome even from those not excited by his appointment.

My main reservation with Ange is how crap Celtic were in Europe. We need to be patient here. I wouldn't be shocked if in the first 10 games we took a few batterings whilst he figured his system out against the very best players in the world - not the SPL dross.

Fully onboard the Ange train. Just bracing myself for some very difficult moments.

Level headed attitude.

Putting my feelings on Enic aside for the purpose of this appt, Ange wasn't my 1st or 2nd option. However I will back him to deliver, but it will take time.

It's a full 180 from the past few managers.

Apparently it's a 2 year deal, with an additional 1 year option.

If he can unite Club and fans as he has done at Brisbane, Yokohama and Celtic that would be most welcome.

Strap in... will be wild ride.

Totally agree. It loses its power if you keep ranting constantly. Ange certainly is not that guy. He’s very measured in his team talks and every player knows what’s required individually and collectively. If players drop their standards he’s on them and they don’t play. We need this type of management. Not keep playing players who are continually shit week week out but still start the following week. There’s a few players in the Tottenham dressing room don’t realise what’s coming.
It's my fervent hope that he has the strength of character to be a leader at this level. Some do, some don't. There are lots of massive egos to deal with - and I don't mean the players. My gut feeling is that he is strong enough - can't wait to see how he performs pre-season against the likes of Wet Ham and The Snidey Cunt Mourinho.

Oooops - he's not got the job yet, has he!!!!

Good luck to him, I hope he proves all doubters wrong, but I feel he and the fans will be in for a brutal awakening. Can’t help but feel we’ll slide down the table in the next few years and end up where we were when ENIC took over.

People saying the club is in turmoil. It’s not in turmoil, we had a really poor season and the fans vented their anger at the results and style of play.
We have players that are not good enough and need to move on but these problems are easily fixable.

They could be fixed by appointing the right manager, and in my opinion, that is exactly what we are doing.
We think the big name managers are the answer but with Mourinho and Conte, that has proven to be the wrong approach.
We need a manager who plays the type of football that the fans want, a manager that will find the right mix of ripping into the players when they don’t put the required effort in and putting an arm around them to explain what they are doing wrong.
It doesn’t matter if he’s a big name or not, or doesn’t have to have managed Barcelona or Real Madrid in the past, it’s about having the right qualities and having a modern approach to the game. Ange has all these and is the best option to unite the club and the fans.

This is not about defending Levy, I hate the Twat, but I honestly believe he has taken the right approach this time and I’m glad I renewed and looking forward to the start of next season, which hasn’t been the case for some time.

Welcome Ange, you have my full support.

Apparently he is going on holiday tomorrow so this will go on for another 14 days!!
The lucky devil will be able to relax by the pool, scrolling through this thread, seeing what the fans think :)

He might even be tempted to sign up and say what he thinks. He's an Aussie after all - they're not known for being shy & retiring!

If you're reading this, Ange, what do you think, mate? Come on - connect with your people.

We fail for a number of reasons:
We are not your Dad’s Tottenham Hotspur. Certainly not my Dad / Granddad.
They watched championship teams in the fifties and early sixties.
Since then we’ve had relegation and nearly went bust. The only real visionary (Scholar) almost ruined the club with his grand ambition. We had a reluctant owner that missed the massive global expansion and mired us in mediocrity for a decade. Since then we’ve had owners who are happy to profit from the club and not make the investment to really challenge the bigger clubs, which, to do so regularly, would require an extra nine-figure spend every year. In the meantime, oiligarchs have invested in clubs as sports-washing ventures and Tottenham, the area, has little to recommend it unless you’re doing a tour of historic riot spots.
To damn right we are not my dads Tottenham or my grandads Tottenham, they could only dream of a go-kart track at the football \ NFL stadium! :contefists:

All opinions should be welcome ?
Isn't that a hate crime nowadays ?
