Chuckle brothers mark 2Apparently Manutd are paying Maguire 10m to leave, while we are going to give Dier a new contract. It would be hillarious we we get Maguire in and play him and Dier together.
I mean, sure. But the PL games will be 5 times harder than what he's faced in Europe. Week in, week out.Lucky for him we aren’t in Europe then isn’t it. Whilst some fans wanted to play in the conference, I am very happy we seem to have gone for a project manager who will get a week on the training ground every week AND plays attacking football.
Next is to ship out all the deadwood we don’t need due to no Europe too, I think it could be coming together.
Reading through the comments here and what i will say is that some of what people say and think about Ange is so naïve and disrespectful.
you guys think that you are entitled to the biggest names in world football to manage your team (which is fair enough) however, you had that in the egotistical maniacs Morrene and conte, how did that work out for you? im more than certain Levy will have done his DD on Ange and he sees him as the right fit for what you need ATM.
Ange is a different animal than what you have have had in the past, just give him a little time and i guarrantee that he will have you all eating out of the palm of his hand.
i for one cant wait to say i told you so
My main reservation with Ange is how crap Celtic were in Europe. We need to be patient here. I wouldn't be shocked if in the first 10 games we took a few batterings whilst he figured his system out against the very best players in the world - not the SPL dross.
Fully onboard the Ange train. Just bracing myself for some very difficult moments.
It's my fervent hope that he has the strength of character to be a leader at this level. Some do, some don't. There are lots of massive egos to deal with - and I don't mean the players. My gut feeling is that he is strong enough - can't wait to see how he performs pre-season against the likes of Wet Ham and The Snidey Cunt Mourinho.Totally agree. It loses its power if you keep ranting constantly. Ange certainly is not that guy. He’s very measured in his team talks and every player knows what’s required individually and collectively. If players drop their standards he’s on them and they don’t play. We need this type of management. Not keep playing players who are continually shit week week out but still start the following week. There’s a few players in the Tottenham dressing room don’t realise what’s coming.
Angee
We might finish mid table but think of all that revenue!
Good luck to him, I hope he proves all doubters wrong, but I feel he and the fans will be in for a brutal awakening. Can’t help but feel we’ll slide down the table in the next few years and end up where we were when ENIC took over.
The lucky devil will be able to relax by the pool, scrolling through this thread, seeing what the fans thinkApparently he is going on holiday tomorrow so this will go on for another 14 days!!
To damn right we are not my dads Tottenham or my grandads Tottenham, they could only dream of a go-kart track at the football \ NFL stadium! We fail for a number of reasons:
We are not your Dad’s Tottenham Hotspur. Certainly not my Dad / Granddad.
They watched championship teams in the fifties and early sixties.
Since then we’ve had relegation and nearly went bust. The only real visionary (Scholar) almost ruined the club with his grand ambition. We had a reluctant owner that missed the massive global expansion and mired us in mediocrity for a decade. Since then we’ve had owners who are happy to profit from the club and not make the investment to really challenge the bigger clubs, which, to do so regularly, would require an extra nine-figure spend every year. In the meantime, oiligarchs have invested in clubs as sports-washing ventures and Tottenham, the area, has little to recommend it unless you’re doing a tour of historic riot spots.
He's going to do jack shit with us, yeah the football may end up being better but the days of us bothering the top teams are now over.
We need new owners AND manager that knows how to win in a top European league.
I can see people looking back and thinking "Fuck, what was Levy smoking?!" at the time he went for Ange over Poch, Nagelsmann and Enrique.
Spurs fan have the right to be sceptical and say what they really feel. We're not one hive mind and this place isn't an echo chamber, ALL opinions should be welcome even from those not excited by his appointment.
