Sure but they usually sell them from a position of strength when the team is in good shape to benefit from swapping a great player for some new great players.

They just had a down year but not looking to sell any stars to fund a rebuild from a position of weakness.

End of the day, of Kane isn't signing and Real are offering, you have to take the money.

But the owners could also show him some serious ambition to stay and sign on.

Sure they are better at selling players but that's a direct result of being better at buying them and having assets other clubs want.

Replacing Dier with a footballer is incredibly important, Jury still out on Romero and porro for me, udogie a bit of an unknown

Obviously goalkeeper we need a new one that’s good with his feet

I don’t think Porro can defend unfortunately but I liked his goal against Leeds so definitely options further up the field!
 
This was not a guy I wanted but this weekend I watched Celtic play, listened to a long podcast about his tactics and then another long interview of him about his life in football.

The people that say there’s something special about this guy as a leader are right. He paints a real vision and gets you bought in.

I’m not saying anything about how he will do but I just encourage the skeptics to give him a chance because I was initially not happy and now can’t wait for him to start.

We conceded more goals per game than any other season since we finished bottom and relegated in 1976-77.

It will be very easy for a new coach to reduce the number of goals we concede and therefore increase the number of points we win.

Everyone is very pessimistic right now and I get it. But even without improvements, these players can concede 10 goals fewer with a better system. That’s got to be worth 5 points alone.

Bring in a better centreback and we should be immediately challenging for Europa and playing much better football.

That's because we've been without an official manager since late March, anyone will do at this point!

He's that great, that inspirational and yet didn't come over to Europe until he was 55?

People have been going on about 'red flags' with Nagelsmann but these were related to his choice of girlfriend, going around ona skateboard and upsetting Oliver Khan (who was subsequently sacked by Bayern).

There are real red flags regarding Ange but we're all so desperate some have convinced themselves that Levy has pulled off some kind of coup in getting him.

Hopefully he really is all that and get us back challenging near the top of the table. That's what really matters, not playing attacking football but sitting mid-table.
 
I don't think, many trust any decision the club makes, and for good reason.
Yeah your right, we have shipped too many goals, but it's more than just 1 x CB , we need 2, along with better protection from the midfield.
Ideally 6 incoming are needed, will we get it, probably not, but that is for the New manager to discover.
