Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

To be fair, I'll take the money and avoiding him going for free to another English team allllll day long.
Like you said, it might be the best option for everybody. Do you think he can justify it to himself too, in a way he would be doing us a favour by potentially leaving us a stack of cash to help rebuild. Kane leaving is awful, but the lack of toxicity over the issue is telling and I think most Spurs fans would wish him the best (if he went abroad).

And let's not forget this scenario.

Kane goes to Madrid, it doesn't quite work, becomes more of a Hazard than a Ronaldo. Someone who doesn't quite do it. I don't see Kane being the greatest linguist and the time. 3 or 4 kids etc.

The Madrid fans turn quickly. Then they buy Haaland or Mbappe and then what, or even if they bought one and not the other..

Not forgetting that foreign lifestyle.

Stay with us, new manager, who hasn't come along to be a bit player, be an integral part of the rebuild, obviously be named captain and break a record most thought unbreakable.

Big big choices.

Hope he stays one more season and helps Spurs win something and qualify Champions League … maybe then we break the bank to keep him - £100m sale will just get pisses away on bang average players

Indeed, by the end of this season I think you'd find plenty of Spurs fans on social media with unironic "bye Harry" messages that weren't meant to be vitriolic. 30 goals in that team was unbelievable and it's painfully obvious he deserves better.

This also doesn't have quite the same vibe as the Man City transfer fiasco. If nothing else, the fact his contract is down to one year does give him all the power this time and everyone knows it.

How many times in the last decade have you heard people talk about Alan Shearer's PL goal scoring record?......Virtually every week

How many times in the same period have you heard people talk about the PL he won?......Virtually never
No one ever talks about Shearer's PL record, unless it has anything to do with Kane coming close. In Kane's early years, no one gave a shit about Shearer's record. He was mostly remembered for being the topscorer at Euro96. Kane's chase has made Shearer's record relevant.

Bale wasn't a great linguistic either....but he still did quite well there
Both players that Real M. bought from Spurs (Bale & Modric) were massive successes. I have no doubts that Kane will be a success at Real M. as well. Pep wanted Kane last season because he knew Kane has the "right attitude", and Real M. knows that too.
And I doubt his 3 children will be a hindrance.
Hazard was hit by injuries and with his sulking attitude he failed to adjust to life there.
I hope I am wrong but Kane, I presume, is tired of false dawns and yet another rebuilding project. He stayed because of Jose and Conte because they gained his respect .... Do you really believe he's going to stay because of Ange?

come on...that feels SO logical -

Postecoglu in (on 2 year contract!) +Spurs without European football + Real losing their main striker+ Real being interested and willing to pay= Kane leaving surely?

If I were Harry... why the fuck would I stay? To be coached Aussie from Scottish league?
And to play between Son (who will never hit the previous heights again) and 1-goal-a-season Richarlison, or to play between Vinicius and Rodrygo ?!? This is such a nobrainer. Even for loyal lad as Kane has been (and deserves shitload of respect for it).

The TV companies are absolutely obsessed with scoring stats

Every time someone reaches any tenuous landmark they put it up

Happened with Henry, Aguero, Rooney, Salah, Kane, Haaland, etc

Remember the Son and Kane goal/assist combo stat that had them overtaking Lampard and Drogba?

I mean, good for them, but it's just an interesting quirk. I doubt it even crossed anybody's mind until someone at Sky realised it was about to happen. Does not even touch silverware in terms of importance.

A lot you say is true.

How old were Bale or Modric when they left to go to Madrid? Or Ronaldo?

Like I said, you live in your own little world.

Who said Jose guarantees a final win? No one can guarantee it but he still has one of the best finals records. So yea. Stop making shit up in your mind. lol
Oh

Well... facts are facts.

As much as I hate Conte he did win trophies and we would have won one with Jose if the baldy upstairs didn't fire him right before the final cup match.

Pathetic...

If anyone is dumb enough to believe Kane will do what's best for Spurs and help out the ballbag Levy, then they are probably Daniel Levy.

I'd be shocked if Kane goes to Madrid.
