Aymeric Laporte is an outstanding player who has managed 15, 16 and 12 league games in three of his last four premier league seasons. Would be an exciting signing and improves our defence no end, but I'd be a bit worried about his knees.

Can't believe we're getting linked to the likes of Maguire and Laporte now. They could have been signed for Conte last summer as CCB and LCB. They would both suit a strict counter attacking Conte back 3 much better than Ange's high pressing 4-3-3 where our defenders will need pace to cover transitions.

That being said, Laporte is still one of the best defenders on the ball in the world, and an obvious upgrade no matter what. We'd need another 1-2 defenders along with him though

3 very obvious signings, Laporte, Raya & Maddison. If we keep Kane, that’s a good starting point then we can start looking at guys from Ange’s scouting network.
Not for me. Everything is secondary to finding a set of good defenders. Levy and co should have their wages suspended until they've secured us a two quality and at least one decent backup CB and obviously a decent keeper. We can make do with an attack of Kane, Son, Kulu, Rich and Gil if we must but the backline is an urgent crisis.
