I wonder if we put out a feeler atleast, a consensual grope to see if he's interested.

Teams interested in Amrabat:
Barca (they don't have money or squad places)
Man UTD (Fuck)
Atleti (Where he wants and where he fits perfectly)
Spurs? (LOL)

We had a chance and it wasn't taken. One of those where Paratici should have trusted himself to get it done. Funny how many Spurs fans at the time were convinced he was a Fiorentina reject and didn't want him.

Raya
Porro Romero Laporte Udogie
Maddison Bissouma Bentancur
Kulusevski Kane Son

Without the stress of Europe is one HELL of a starting 11
Wouldn’t say that just yet. Porro has not proven himself as a defender, neither has Udogie. Bissouma, Kulusevski and Son both had poor seasons so the jury is out on them. Finally we don’t know how Betty will be after injury. He’ll of a team on paper ie what it should be does not mean a hell of a team on the pitch.

On paper this team looks wonderful but I don’t think it’s balanced enough.

If you’re playing 2 attacking full backs in Porro and Udogie, I’m not sure you can accommodate Kane, Son and Maddison in your attacking 4 with how limited they are defending from the front. We would ship A LOT of goals.

From what I’ve read about Ange and how he sets up, I don’t think he’ll want Maddison TBH; Biss, Bentancur and someone similar to who we thought we were buying when we signed GLC feels more appropriate for me.

Amrabat is a good player, outperformed Rice.l last night and was excellent at the WC.

But he’s 27 in November and I really feel we need to go younger if the rebuild is going to be a lasting success.

The fans shat all over it (although we ended up with Bentancur instead if memory serves).

It’s not the only one too - Kim Min-Jae was said to be a commercial joke when we went for him, Kvaratskhelia an unknown and cheap punt.

The club have got nearly everything wrong from a transfer perspective over the last 4 years. Our scouting has been horrid, and when it has been good we’ve failed to pulled the trigger and the player has gone on to be excellent.

So much talk about the manager, but without some nous in the transfer market it won’t matter.

Made to force in new transfer targets (Kulu probably starts where Hatate is, Bentancur/Ndombele where Lavia is, and Son maybe in the team somewhere) but maybe something like that if Kane goes? I get that Diaby plays inside right forward but he's left-footed so could be the wide left for Ange

Bit unrealistic mate

Diaby alone is around £80 mill and plays on the right

Is Raya really the answer don't want to shit on him but he really isn't great at short passing or building from the back from what I have seen. Something that Ange seems to want

His kicking game is much more suited to quick counters and long passing something Brentford prefer they don't really build from the back.

Just looking at the numbers his short passing stats are similar to De Gea and Lloris, he's actually less accurate than both.

All of Kepa, Steele, Alisson, Ederson, have double the amount of short passes than Raya while hitting around 95% accuracy. Raya passes short far less while hitting just above 85%.

Loved to be proved wrong but I'm not sure he's that comfortable with his feet regarding playing out from the back. Passing long he's very good.

Thought the same. Somebody made the point that his issues with short passing could be just as much about the way Brentford play and the lack of options.

End of the day, he's homegrown and actually pretty decent at the goal-keeping part.

Did anyone see how good Rice and Amrabat were yesterday? Obviously Rice ain't happening but I don't see why we can't make a move for Amrabat, sure he won't be cheap and will probably need some sweet talking given we've got 0 European football but he'd instantly be our best midfielder and by a distance that would really elevate our play.
Was really good in the worldcup as well. Definitely an improvement on our lot.

That's the thing though he should have options to pass it short as Brentford play with 3 at the back there should be plenty of angles for him plus the option of passing to midfield.

But yeah he's seems to command his box well, seems a decent enough shot stopper and he's gettable.
