People are already persuading themselves that good players aren’t good enough for Postecoglou’s system. Even though the man has said FUCK ALL about a single player in the squad.
There's always been what you might call a "Football Manager " aspect to forums and social media - "Buy a, b and c, sell x, y and z. Move m from left back to right wing" and so on - but it's hyperspaced to a whole new quadrant of late.

People who, beyond a highlights reel haven't seen a single second of Vicario, Van de Ven, Tapsoba and so on, who haven't seen a single second of an Ange team, have become experts on inverted full backs and all manner of other such things.

Why did we need to sign him when the manager did not commit his future?

We didn't need a top class RWB for the system we were playing?

If we had signed Nagelsmann or Luis Enrique, who both regularly use WBs, would this even be a question?

Did we sign him knowing that he'd played as a RB without the ball for Sporting and assume he could also play FB but we were signing one of the most productive offensive RB/RWBs in Europe?

Basically everyone has assumed based on a very small sample of Porro adapting to the prem, during one of the club's most chaotic periods that he will never be a RB. It's fucking mental.

Also, I might be wrong but Spence was out on loan and Emerson was yet to have his rebirth at the time we signed Porro?

God, they are so bitter ain’t they. Such is their weird obsession with Spurs, they actually want him to go Newcastle. Weird irrelevant fanbase. Enjoy the championship you mugs. Seems a bit of revenge for that season with them relegated and us taking their best player 😎

They’ll be even more pissed off with us soon!!!

From the telegraph:

Leicester City are set to move for Harry Winks, the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, as they prepare for a promotion challenge following their recent relegation to the Championship.

Winks has emerged as a target for Enzo Maresca, the new Leicester manager, and negotiations are understood to be under way over a potential deal.

Tottenham are in talks with Leicester over the transfer of James Maddison, the England international, but the Winks deal is unconnected.

Maresca believes Winks, another England international, has the ability and versatility to become a key part of his squad in the Championship.

Winks has just over one year left on his contract and will be allowed to leave as part of a major overhaul this summer by new head coach Ange Postecoglou.

The 27-year-old has found first-team opportunities limited in recent seasons and spent the last campaign on loan in Serie A with Sampdoria.

Leicester return to pre-season training under Maresca on Monday, as they prepare for the forthcoming season in the Championship.
