Whatever Rice goes for is the benchmark. If he goes for 100m, Kane shouldn't be going for less.
Market sets the price.

Two of the biggest spenders in the world going for Rice. Top two clubs in PL last season.

Only Bayern in for Kane. If PSG enter the discussion then we can get Rice money.

You may be fine with this but if we don’t sell him this summer for whatever is on the table, then there’s a significant risk of losing him for nothing next season. In that case we’d have 0 to replace him with. What could he do in a season that could replace 70m?

Nothing.

Qualifying for CL would help. But are our chances of losing him for nothing greater next year without qualifying for the CL greater or less than our chances of qualifying for CL?

It’s not an easy decision but I would take the guaranteed money now rather than hope for something unlikely next season. The risk is not worth it.

Leicester would do well to attract harry winks tbh. We may take the piss, but for them he'd probably be one of the best Centre mids in that league.

Be interesting to see if Winks is willing to take the drop though

I think he will go if they pay his wages. Leicester will come straight back up. They will have the parachute payments to be able to afford him and wont want to be in that league for more than a season or else they will massively fall foul of the EFL FFP rules (again).

We don't know that.

Real released a statement saying they weren't buying anymore players.

If Bayern look like they get close to a price, guarantee they start sniffing again.

If we reject anything close to 100m, Bayern and Real move on imo.
Lots we don’t know. But the basic laws of supply and demand say that the greater the demand, the greater the price (ceteris paribus).

PSG could also enter the picture.

But I think we should sell for 70m.

Can't believe some in here would turn down Maddison in a Spurs shirt.

The guy is a proper Tottenham style player, I'd be delighted if we pulled that off.

He was on fire at times last season and should have been an integral part of Englands WC setup if shit Waistcoat had a solitary fucking clue.

I've been skeptical that we will get him, but if we do this is making up for the missed opportunity with Grealish. I rate him that highly.

I think we’ve wasted a lot of money on Ange, given how many tactical geniuses we clearly have on this forum who would be willing to do the job for a lot less money.
I'm a tactical genius!!

Yeah sometimes there is a lightbulb moment for players. The only fear is they go back to doing what they did previously, but I don’t think it will be the case with him.

He seems such an obvious signing that I hope it happens. The amount of chances he will create for Kane is enough to make it an obvious one for us to want to do.
Bentancur, Maddison, Kulusevski, Kane, Son, Porro, being allowed to play attacking football should be decent! 😜
