Wow fook me thats circa £43M thats a steal for Chiesa , only 25 perfectly fits Ange style of play to, this guy is the mutz nutz as long as he is fully over his injury... and to think tonali went for more, this guys is top top drawer , terrifying to play against and still not peaked , bags of energy and never say die attitude, would love him...
At this point, do you think our Paratici connection helps or hurts us?

I'd fucking love Chiesa.

That’s a putrid front 3.

TBH im not against Para at all, he is actually very good at scouting and finding players....

Plus i dont blame him too much for what happened at Juve right at the end, he was also always a Sporting / Technical Director never a Managing Director, thats not his forte, and was only and MD for the last 18 months/24 months as Beppe Morata left for Inter.... PEOPLE need to understand how and who owns Juve aka the AGNELLI family , they make the all the decisions , they have the final say in everything and full control... People need to research and know who these guys are and the power and influence they have outside of football and for more than a century too. Para was told to give a biased valuation on Juves players for the balance sheet, all would have be be agreed and signed off by the Agnellis and he was instructed to do it , remember also Para's forte and skill has been as a TD identifying the best talent and getting them for great prices.... valuation is subjective too, i think player X is worth 50M for example you say no that player is only 30M, of course within limits which they didnt go stupidly crazy on, who would ever of paid 90m for pogba and 80M on Maguire (even back then) valuations are subjective, is declan rice worth 100M hell dafuq no!! :) ... especially when the contract is not backed up with a release clause.... Everything that happened at Juve happened because the Agnellis were in full control , agreed to it and gave instruction to it.

You can’t force players to sign contracts, ultimately with Eriksen the mistake was not selling him immediately when he turned down the big contract offer in 2019.
The mistake was not buying Maddison in 2017 as an understudy to Eriksen and selling Eriksen for 80-90 million in 2018. That would have required us to have proper transition/refresh planning in place, which we obviously didn't.

Can't believe some in here would turn down Maddison in a Spurs shirt.

The guy is a proper Tottenham style player, I'd be delighted if we pulled that off.

He was on fire at times last season and should have been an integral part of Englands WC setup if shit Waistcoat had a solitary fucking clue.

I've been skeptical that we will get him, but if we do this is making up for the missed opportunity with Grealish. I rate him that highly.
The only thing i got against Maddison is that he's a big Woolwich fan, hates Spurs, and used to call Bale a schimpanzee! Other than that, i think he would be a good signing!

Been so obvious for so long that this is the marketing link of the window.

There is no chance this transfer was ever going to happen.

Sometimes these things get way out of proportion too, EG

1. do we have some interest yes
2. will we contact to find out if its do able
3. media gets a whiff paints social media left right and centre with the story
4. fans get way ahead of themselves now believe he will be their player, make formations diagrams, and they have now made this a reality in their minds
5. fans get distraught and blame the club it never happened
RINSE and REPEAT

^^^^
the above applies to im guessing another 10 clubs who tried to enquire for the same player, their fans did the same thing etc

Just depends how real it is and did it go any further than an enquiry

Apparently Twitter is now saying Leiectser are interested in Winks (nothing to do with my reply, obviously!)

But 8t would make sense, maybe for one of our English players like him or Tanganga to go there... Who's to say they won't help them return to the PL and play there NEXT season???
Oh yeah, I think it would be a fine move for him.

I can't possibly begin to hate the likes of Harry Winks (whose toenails are more Tottenham than we could dream to be) or Eric Dier and so on. Look at those who were screaming for Skippy to be a starter and who now think he's pig shit (I may have exclusively revealed this possibility a couple of years ago).

Winks, Dier, Skippy, Davidson and co are
always welcome round Casa Bill if they're passing. I'm a fine cook, there are excellent wines available, we'd have a great time.
