Age is a huge factor though.Whatever Rice goes for is the benchmark. If he goes for 100m, Kane shouldn't be going for less.
Rice can be resold at a significant sum. Kane, less likely.

I just gave you funny rating mate, because nobody else did.Looks like were getting maddison. I suppose if we ever play in New York and he scores the headline will be maddison square garden.
Think they will win CL next season if kane goes there. Imo levy wont sell.

Quality is a huge factor, one is in the world class bracket, another is a complete clogger
You know nothing John snow!I suspected it was the wrong move at the time as he was never gonna "totally transform" the way we played (as commonly insisted at the time) and the frequent "he's not that great defensively though" chatter was a further red flag.
CB was a way more practical (and point preserving) purchase at the time.
........I fear we're creating a square peg/round hole scenario for Udogie too.
.......I don't think Maddison is a great fit either.
I'm quietly hoping Ange surprises us here and does something few are expecting.
(People get so hung up about 3at the back... I think we should be sticking with it personally.)
I didn't know any of that....The only thing i got against Maddison is that he's a big Woolwich fan, hates Spurs, and used to call Bale a schimpanzee! Other than that, i think he would be a good signing!

I’d expect agreement to be found 10m higher for a player with one year left on their contract. Can’t be many, if any, players who have gone for more with only a year left.
Security maybe? He could have a bad injury and next season and might not want want to take that risk. Why would Kane go this summer where as he holds all the cards next summer and possibly can go anywhere he damn pleases!
I’m thinking that it may well be Harry signaling his intent to leave.
I personally want all my transfer info from tap-in merchants.
Other than the risk of injury, he’ll also get a pay bump this year. Could be worth 5-10m right there. Why would Kane go this summer where as he holds all the cards next summer and possibly can go anywhere he damn pleases!
That's presupposing that these players lack the ability to be coached though. Just because you haven't seen him do it, doesn't automatically equate to 'cant do it.'So how are they used then?
All the videos I've seen suggest that his full backs come in field to offer more passing lanes and are heavily involved in the build up and outnumber the oppo in the middle of the pitch.
What you're asking Udogie to do is essentially play as a midfielder and be patient in his build up play whilst picking out the right passes, I've seen nothing to suggest that Udogie can do that...playing as an explosive/aggressive wing back is very different from playing in field as a midfielder.
But I agree I don't think we'll play like that first off anyway but if he's going to revert to his usual tactics he's going to need full backs who are smart in possession as I'm not sure if any of our lot have the quality to do that.
I get people are just excited to see new signings in the team but there's no point putting square pegs in round holes.
