Kane to Bayern for 2-3 years then comes back to Spurs after winning several league titles and maybe a Champions League and ties up his Premier League goal scoring record with us and we receive a hefty transfer fee this summer which could transform our squad.

Or Kane has a good season again but we don’t invest enough in new players due to lack of funds and have a sub par season so he leaves on a free, joins United, and torments us for years.

I know which option I would prefer

Reported in Sport — I have no idea how reliable they are — and picked up by English outlets.

Sport seem to be the only ones anywhere reporting it. No journalist in England has picked up on it as their own story so I’m unsure how likely it is. Maybe he’s primed in case other transfers don’t come off.

More likely he comes back in three years to save us from relegation like Klinsmann
