Cannot warm to this fucking idea at all.
Yeah he may have been young and stupid but it’s on record that he hates Spurs. As petty as it might be, I don’t like the wanker for that childhood mistake alone. If he was the sure fire answer to our creativity issues then I’d shelve the dislike.
But he was the creative force in a team that just got relegated.
What am I missing about this bloke that makes him a “must have” signing apart from being home grown?

The measure of Maddison will be whether he can get Richy on the score sheet 10 times next season. That's going to be a serious achievement. I've never been sold on Richy ever since he turned up here at Watford.

I'm not his biggest fan-boy, but it's pretty obvious where the selling point lies:

EPL 22/23: 30app / 10G / 9A > 1 x goal contribution every 1.5 apps.
EPL 21/22: 35app / 12G / 8A > 1 x goal contribution every 1.75 apps.
EPL 20/21: 31app / 8G / 7A > 1 x goal contribution every 2.06 apps.

Statically he's one of the best attacking players in the PL over the last 3 seasons or so.

He'll hopefully be playing with Kane and a healthy Son in a super aggressive attacking system.

I think you can be a little excited about the possibilities.

Maddison at 40m or Havertz at 65m?

It's great business and he's HG so we can be a bit more choosy at CB.

If nobody wants to pay for Kane we get a season with possibly the best attacking talent in 40 years.

If Kane goes we still have a creative player at the club.
