Here's my assumption ;
Conte was pissed off and tired due to travelling back forth from Italy as his family did not live in England.
Also his demeanor changed when his best friend, one of his coaches, died.
That had a huge effect on him and altered his whole outlook.
My assumption is just as likely as yours, but that's all it is. An assumption.

It’s not an unassailable fact, it’s an informed opinion based on 23 years of not backing the manager.
Unpopular opinion, but good signing for Leicester. Watched him at Samp last season after his injury and he genuinely stood out in a shower of shit (in a positive way). I thought he wouldn't look out of place at Lazio considering the way Sarri plays, so playing in the Championship will be easy for him.
Lenglet won't be cheap. He was on like 12mil a season at Barca. I don't see him take a 50% pay cut to join us...and even 5 or 6 mil a year for a player of his quality would still be too dear.
If we play 2 CB, Romero & new guy #1 are our starters. I'd rather give backup spots to Big Ben & new guy #2...or even Royal plus that Dorrington kid. Heck, I'd rather have Rodon as our 4th or 5th option than friggin Lenglet.
Let West Ham or Everton have him.
