As a bench option fine.

Sounds like he was a real positive influence in the locker room. Can't have a Davies - Lenglet LB/LCB again. That was awful to watch.
They got bummed by Mbeumo & co that game vs Brentford a few weeks backs. It was proper embarrassing.

Lenglet was the French version of Dier that game...just not even trying to put a challenge in.

Fuck him.

Ah yes, we can never be happy can we 😆

Feck me, there's having an axe to grind, and there's having an entire garage full of axes.

They might at least enjoy the unveiling video first.

Who'd choose to play for Spurs over Newcastle? :ange-facepalm:

These lot are actually delusional. They think they're bigger than Spurs.
They have a way to go before they get bigger than us, but once upon a time Chavs and City weren't as big as us. If the Saudi's keep pumping money into Newcastle it's really only a matter of time.

RE: Lenglet

Again, don't mind this but we need an two additionals.

I don't even think he's as bad as people are making out either - good defender on his day and a victim of the system/circumstance last season as opposed to showing his natural ability.
I agree with this. He’s the best on the ball out of all our defenders and you don’t end up at Barcelona and play for France if you are as bad as some make out. He never done great for us last season but the whole lot were shit. Will be interesting to see how he does in a progressive passing team, playing with confidence and not constantly getting attacked because of a shit counter attacking style. The one thing I don’t understand from the club is that they’ll still be paying too wages for him even though we’ll not pay much for him. I’d rather see lenglet playing or being back up than dier,Davies,Rodon or sanchez.

Still think we need 3 CB’s overall to properly fix the backline. We play 2 CB’s in a 4. That means Romero, new CB, new CB, new CB with full backs Davies and Royal to cover CB in emergency.

Lenglet isn’t great but he is at least good on the ball which Ange needs. Rodon, Dier, Tanganga, Sanchez, I just can’t see them being any use. Fine if not Lenglet as the third spare but we need then good scouting for 1-2 cheap CB’s who are comfortable in possession.
