If people keep using the phrase ‘back up’ I’ll bloody scream . We want players to challenge and rotate not just sit on the bench hoping someone gets injured.

Similar thoughts in that I've never really liked him probably harvested from the rumours 'he no likee chicken badge' can't deny his talent however. My one concern is although AP might very well have given the nod I can't see him being his type of signing because of his emphasis on 'hard press' which is hardly Maddison's forte.

No. this part alludes to it….’Also because [Spurs] have to spend £100m for six players, they go and spend that for one or two players’ as did his demeanour and passive stance all season (and well before the Spurs coach passed away).

I can see there are a number of factors as well as not being backed in the window, different shades of grey. You are the one with blinkers on that thinks he was happy with the window as he didn’t say he wasn’t.
