He loves his Misses.

She wants to live in/near London.

We’re Spurs.

Maybe loan him Juve for Chiesa on loan in return, can’t hurt to ask?!

If he doesn’t fit Ange for next season, wouldn’t mind loaning him (if he‘s seen as 3rd choice LB).

Would likely help cement him as an international, if he plays well for a big Italian club, versus bench here most likely (imo). This type of situation is one the club must get right, pick a team with weakest LB competition if Juve, Inter et al truly are after him.
Na that would be nonsense, I think his agent is just trying to drum up interest

If it's shaping up to be an issue (i.e. Bentancur not up and running), we can have a look at it in the Jan window.

AFCON doesn't even start til Jan 13th.

New CBs have to come first this summer.
I don’t disagree the CBs should be the priority but it’s definitely going to be risky if Skipp and Bentancur are the only mids in January. And if either has an injury or yellow card suspension, you probably have to play Emerson or someone out of position there.

To fill that spot in January, we would certainly have to overpay and then that player would try to have to learn the new system on the fly. And having even 1 weak link in a pressing system can be detrimental.

His peripheral awareness, in defence, in as bad or worse than Porro.

Suspect he’ll go on loan, but just guessing based on the dialogue, let him sharpen defensively elsewhere (In a back 4 playing team). But be very happy if he’s ready to be a Top 5 challenging Prem LB.

Disagree.

He’s young but an unbelievable talent.

Will make mistakes but we have an unbelievable talent on our hands.

If he doesn’t want to be here then he can fuck off but there is no reason for that to be the case.

Chiesa is a shadow of his former self. People who want him certainly haven't watched him play lately.

That ACL injury has taken some considerable pace and unpredictability off him.
Harsh, think he ended the season pretty well. First game or two back he looked great, then really flattened out and looked tired for a month.. gets shafted to playing wing back for a stretch, but thought he had several performances in the last months of the season where he looked really good again. Wouldn't be a transfer without risk though.

Jota to Saudi Arabia. Saw some buzz hoping he'd be a target for us. Very talented player, but doesn't really have the physical attributes to be a high level wide player in the PL

Aren’t any of you guys wondering why Maddison would choose us over Newcastle, with their monied project and CL football?

Feels a bit like when Clint Dempsey chose us over Liverpool.

No.

Newcastle have a much lower turnover than Spurs and have spent heavily (£200m+) in last 2 years, so having bought midfielder Tonali for £44m they are bouncing off FFP limits, Buying Maddison would likely put them over FFP limits or even if not meant they couldn't buy anyone else this summer.

So in summary once Newcastle had bought Tonali they were almost certainly out of the race for Maddison and no doubt both Leicester and Spurs knew that.

The most Richarlison has scored in a league season is 13. Can we skip that he is he is in anyway an adequate replacement for Kane. He also isnt quick or creative. We'd be far better off playing Son as centre forward but we'd need someone else.
Sell rich! Exactly what qualities did we buy him for? It wasn’t as if he played regular CF at Everton especially if DCL was playing. Probably one of the worst signings ever purely on football ability. At tangay had some bloody technical skills.

Who's calling Richarlison an adequate replacement? I think people are just putting the facts together.

The club invested 60 mill into him. They'll want to see if he was a worth while investment this season.
His best position is ST
He checks a lot of boxes in what Ange wants in a ST
Son's best position is LF or LW.

We'll never replace Kane one for one. It can't be done. But Ange brings a sum bigger than it's parts mentality. Richarlison can do a job.
Let’s see depends if he can stay onside and not fall over with the ball looking for free kicks.

Emery has agreed to sign a left footed c/b from his prev club villareal... Norm when a manager raids prev club's means they rate the player and intends to use him ...will that puts Ming's position under threat? and the cash from the sale .v r might be able to buy lo celso . Unless villa buy lo celso..Which I really don't want.. cos tbh .. still think in the right system he'd do well in the prem.

So he didn't even choose us, he had no choice, we were the only club in for him?

There were reports from reliable journalists from Newcastle that Maddison preferred Spurs, even before Newcastle bought Tonali.

Oooh a late night "we were/weren't Maddison's last resort" cunt off.

So, to recap, he is either stupid enough to prefer a mid table club to the richest club in the world and CL football or sad enough to only have us as an option....
