Meh.... £68m won't raise nor sink this club.

League finishes alone = approx £2m quid per spot.
CL qualification = £50m upwards

30 goals form Harry this season may potentially render than £68m all but moot.
In a world where we look to save 5m there,10m there in transfers, I'd argue that 68m matters a lot. Harry's goals helped get us 8th last season, certainly not expecting Ange to get us a CL place this season, if he does then great.

Yes, I am sure Harry is way more hungry to play in Community Shield vs Champions League.
I mean what idiot would pick playing with likes of Musiala and Kimmich when you can have maestros like Hjojberg and Skipp instead, right!

Strawman.

.......And nonsensical.

City wouldn't have been in the CL?
City wouldn't have fancy players?
City would allow him to bang shearers record and guarantee himself trophies..... 2 EPL, 1 x CL, 1 x LC s far.

I never said he preferred Spurs > BM.

Raise your game; you're better than this guff (and the crappy LOL you posted on my other post).

You may not..... That's up to the owners to the risk/reward over however.

If they are indeed the money hungry parasites you're convinced they are, you'll likely get your wish and see him sold.

Ofc City would have had all those things. And he wanted to go there too. Just like he does to Bayern. Who is making a strawman here really?

It is nice about banging the Shearers record drum. I personally recall exactly 0 times when he himself would have set this as a target. I mean if reporter (who keep much more track of such things) asks about it, ofc you come up with some round and respectful answer like "Oh, of course it would be honor to surpass the number of this great legend yada-yada-yada". But beyond that I've seen nothing. It MIGHT be his goal and objective, true, but it also might not be. As far as I am aware, neither of us is Harry Kane.

Brentford buying Nathan Collins for £25 million and bidding £30 million for Brennan Johnson. Nobody should believe we cant afford to buy two decent centre backs for whatever the market dictates if they are who we want.

So far on paper our first team is looking like:

1
Vicario
2
Udogie
3
LCB
4
Romero
5
Emerson
6
Bissouma
7
Maddison
8
Bentancur
9
Son
10
Kane
11
Kulu
lineup code
[lineup="flip"]
Vicario
Udogie LCB Romero Emerson
Bissouma
Maddison Bentancur
Son Kane Kulu
[/lineup]

Unresolved issues are:
1) Who will that LCB signing be (Tapsoba seems to be top target)
2) Can Udogie play in a back 4?
3) Who takes Bentancur's role until he is back? Maybe Skipp and 6 and Biss pushed further on.
Leaving our 2nd team looking like:

1
Forster
2
Davies
3
LCB
4
Dier
5
Spence
6
Skipp
7
PEH
8
Sarr
9
Solomon
10
Rich
11
Porro
lineup code
[lineup="flip"]
Forster
Davies LCB Dier Spence
Skipp
PEH Sarr
Solomon Rich Porro
[/lineup]

Unresolved issues are:
1) Additional CB needed to relegate Dier to 4th choice and bin off Sanchez, Rodon and Tanganga
2) No real attack minded alternatives to come into midfield
3) Will PEH be moved on?
3) Will Porro be deployed as a winger over Gil
We then have the matter of what we do with Gil, Ndombele, Lo Celso etc. It seems very unlikely the latter two will have what it takes to meet Ange's demands. They don't seem interested.
Gil is just not that good and won't get much game time, I reckon he goes back to La Liga.
Also do we keep around any of our promising youngsters? Surely a decision has to be made on Parrott now? For all the hype around Scarlett and Devine can they contribute now?

I think we'll sign two more CBs and a new CM if PEH is sold.

As of right now the big concern for me is whether we have the right personnel for this back 4 to work and whether that front 3 can get back to its best as the competition behind it is not that exciting.
How can our first team currently, on paper, look like that when we haven’t even got that new left centrebacks?

happy good news GIF

We don't have nearly enough RB/RWB

actually Bill Madrid Bill Madrid is right to say that Franco wasn't really a football fan. Let's say that Real Madrid was the nationalist/francoist club - if we're splitting hairs
That’s apparently not true.

Barca have recently made statements claiming that (Laporta) but the truth appears to be that Barca had/have much stronger ties to the Franco regime and the Nazis.

I’d always assumed that Real were the Franco regime club.

The assumption is that Catalans were anti Franco because they are separatist but there were actually very strong Catalonian links to the Franco regime and the separatists got stronger after his time.

Interesting stuff

You.

I said this:

"As reported; Harry clearly hasn't got the same hunger for BM as he did City either."

You straw-manned a bunch of other stuff in on the basis of things I"d not said..... So much so, that your post didn't even make much sense:

Charity Shield vs Champions league?

Contextually, that was utter drivel and like I said; you're better than that.
