What's the rumoured price of Tosin?

Has the strategy of “building a young talented squad that could be goon in X amount of years” ever actually worked for any club though?I like the signing. I’ve seen a little of VDV and he has raw potential but is a long long way from the finished article.
For me the issue is “what is our transfer strategy”.
If we’re signing young talent to blood into the first XI and allowing them to grow whilst getting game time (as I think we should BTW), why aren’t we cashing in on Kane and / or Son?
It feels like we’re running 2 timelines here….
1) Immediate need to win this season and find some sort of incentive beyond loyalty for Kane to stay.
2) Building a young, talented squad that could be absolute top class by 2025.
All the signings scream a long term plan to me, which I’m all in favour of. The dismissal of offers for Kane and Som scream “win now”.
It feels like we need to commit to one of those timelines.
Of course much of this could change with further transfers over the course the window….
The squad in that picture is based on us already shedding the deadwood we realistically can (GLC is 5050 as discussed last week).
Haven't seen any transfer fees bandied about. He's in his final year so reckon this gets done for 18m - Fuham paid less than 2m so they'll be well furnished.
Why wouldn't you want to have a young talented squad though? There is very little downside to getting a future star before they hit their peak value and command their largest deal, they often have much higher sell on value and represent a longer number of years of service should they decide to stay. I'd say most clubs will only really pay the massive transfer fees of players in or near their prime when they have gaps that desperately need plugging in the starting XI, when you're rounding out a squad generally younger players will always be preferred. Better for succession planning in the long run.Has the strategy of “building a young talented squad that could be goon in X amount of years” ever actually worked for any club though?
It’s been the perennial cliche of ENIC’s reign, signing young up and coming players for a future that never arrives.
Like Dorrington, but feel he’s still growing, his game is very up and down.Yeah really hope Dorrington impresses this month and think Tosin wouldn't be a bad squad option after Tapsoba / VDV and sell Sanchez etc.
Mate, if you feel dizzy, check your sugars as your brain seems starved of oxygen or something here.In know that this would be a very (over)ambitious transfer plan – and I even doubt that Inácio
and Antonio Silva would want to join Spurs (so alternative would be Tapsoba & van de Ven).
And, of course, the prices I put up can be debated.
But here we go…

Can we count Romero again tooYou missed out the money spent on making Kulu and Porro perms?
That could be a new role for Ndombele. He’d smash a pie chart.Don’t know why it’s taking so long to sign one of these centre backs. Just look at their charts and see who has more green on it.
This scouting lark is fucking easy. Once you’ve mastered a pie chart you’ve mastered football.
We’ve been through this before, but the reality is we won’t be able to find a 20m replacement that is as good as him.I'd bin off GLC too then.
Add the proceeds to the 80m CB kitty you mentioned.... Call it 100m.
I’m beginning to get very sceptical with those multi pointed star charts.Don’t know why it’s taking so long to sign one of these centre backs. Just look at their charts and see who has more green on it.

Scott we should buy and then loan out, so not a like for like replacement for GLC.

Saw one today where Gvardiol duels won were around 35%, miles lower than Tapsoba. I remember last week seeing it had put Dier at 5% duels won, which just can’t be right.
I made a similar point recently and people are just like “data duhhhh” without realising that these aren’t the 6 holy stats that every eg defender must optimise. Show another 6 stats and they all look like good things for a defender to have and show a completely different picture. All I know is that if football was that simple, data analysis would be a piece of piss. It’s very simplistically presented info with no context. And cherry picked stats!!
I remember one which showed Maguire vs VVD (during his peak) and Maguire looked far better. Especially with defenders, there’s so much work there which stats just won’t even reflect.
We have a big shortage in attacking mids, because of the change from 343 to 433.For the purposes of this exercise; I don't rate him..... He's dead wood to me. I want rid. Give the few hundred minutes (max) I envisage giving him to Divine instead. I want to spend the additional proceeds on the best CBs possible.
You think he might be of use....? You can keep him for your fantasy team..... But he's not in mine.![]()
