His first scout report on him after one game was much less positive.

Apparently watched more games and changed his mind.

Personally, no clue what to expect but this is another player that had been chased by clubs like Liverpool and Bayern, it’s probably a one time window to sign a talent like this.

Doesn’t mean he ends up World Class but he has that ceiling it seems
Whenever I look at a player coming into the PL I always go, what’s their physical or technical advantage they can lean on while coming to terms with a much more competitive league?

With this guy, he’s got the recovery pace, he’s got the height to deal with aerial assaults. He’s also got a sweet left foot and looks like he has confidence it in. So, these things give him a fighting chance of establishing himself.

Hercules

“Please relax. Another center back will be added after this. We are working in agreement with AP on his priority signings. So refresh to have a manager who is working with you, and not throwing dummies out the pram.”

Yeah it's so refresh man!

Lets talk outgoings:

Hoijberg: £25m
Lo Celso: £15m
Sanchez: £10m
Sessegnon: £10m
Winks: £10m
Tanganga: £5m

£75m for both VDV & Tapsoba.
Only one I'd have any real objection to is hojbjerg. Not because I rate him highly but because I feel we need to hold onto him until we're sure bissouma will actually live up to expectations and we're sure bentancur hasn't been ruined by the injury.

I'd be very happy with the fees for the rest, Sanchez could probably fetch a bit more. Winks for £10m in the championship is encouraging.

Willing to bet it won’t be Tapsoba. As soon as Maddison got done, that was the big splash of the window.

But VdV, Tosin, Lenglet, Romero makes a lot of sense.

Could see Tosin keeping Romero out the team if he goes to far on Argentina train

I think Ange will like and hold on to Hojbjerg.

Managers seem to like him. He obv shows commitment on the training ground and says the right things Etc. He’s good for a few goals.

By no means my favourite but plenty to go before him

Only way I can see both is if we somehow come to an agreement on one being a loan with option to buy following CL qualification or similar.

Splashing 80m on two centre backs when not in Europe and both needing game time in a bloated squad that has minimal non-HG positions would be wild.

He's the one who holds the most value, so for me he would be first out the door.
